Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You provide a relevant overview by identifying China and the United States as the two leading countries and Korea as the lowest producer. You also include several accurate figures for the leading countries, which supports the main comparisons. However, some details are inaccurate or unclear: the final sentence gives Korea’s consumption as 499.5 rather than 449.5, and the statement that the last six countries had “almost similar ratios” overlooks meaningful differences, including Germany’s consumption exceeding its production. The grouping of Germany, Brazil, France and Canada is also confusing because the stated consumption range does not match those figures. To strengthen the report, compare the lower-ranked countries more precisely and highlight Germany as the exception.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs describing the figures. The progression from the leading countries to the lower-ranked ones is generally easy to follow, and phrases such as “In terms of” and “Regarding” signal shifts in focus. However, the final paragraph repeats Korea’s low position after it has already been mentioned in the overview, while the grouping of four countries is difficult to interpret. The sentence beginning “Production rates ranged…” does not clearly connect its ranges to the countries listed. Use more precise grouping and references, and organise the lower-ranked comparisons in a way that makes each figure’s country unmistakable.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a suitable range of chart-reporting vocabulary, including “accounted for,” “recorded,” “ranking,” and “ranged from.” These choices help communicate comparisons, although some expressions are imprecise or unnatural, such as “largest share” for the highest figures and “biggest ratios” for amounts. There are also spelling errors in “Similary” and “Untited,” and “Regarding to” is not an appropriate phrase. Use standard collocations for describing quantities and rankings, and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would also help distinguish production from consumption rather than referring generally to “ratios.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a relative clause in “which were the biggest ratios” and a comparison sentence using “while.” Most of the meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical and punctuation errors reduce accuracy. For example, “Korea, least amount of electricity had been produced” has an incorrect sentence structure, and “produced great amount” is missing an article. Commas and spacing are also inconsistent, as in “period.Similary” and “5,322kWh ,”. Practise forming complete comparison sentences and check articles, word order, and punctuation. These improvements would make your range of sentence forms more controlled.
