Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have successfully identified the main features and provided a clear overview. You covered all three years and made relevant comparisons between income brackets. However, the analysis is slightly uneven; while 2007 is described in detail, the descriptions for 2011 and 2015 are less comprehensive. To reach a higher band, ensure that the data for all years is presented with equal depth, and avoid minor inaccuracies such as stating 'most number of households' when referring to a specific category. Overall, the response is well-focused and meets the requirements of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The response is logically organized with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs. You use cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Moving forward', and 'Moreover' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the paragraphing could be improved by grouping the data more effectively—perhaps by trends rather than just by year. Referencing is generally clear, though some sentences are slightly disjointed. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'dominated', 'declined', and 'topped the chart'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'most least' (which is redundant) and 'the graphs had increase' (which should be 'the graph showed an increase'). While you use enough vocabulary to convey your meaning clearly, the range is somewhat limited. To improve, try to incorporate more precise reporting verbs and synonyms for 'increase' or 'decrease' to avoid repetition.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical slips, such as 'most number of households' (should be 'the highest number of households') and 'this criteria' (should be 'this criterion'). Additionally, there are some issues with article usage and pluralization, such as '30 millions' (should be '30 million'). While these errors are noticeable, they do not impede communication. To achieve a higher score, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of plural forms for large numbers.
