Student answer (Band 5.0)
The bar chart compares the income of houses in the united states in 2007, 2011 and 2015 .This bar chart illustrates that inviduals in united states have how much income and how it rises and falls over the period given in question .
In 2007, 25% people has an income less than 25,000$ which rises to 28 % in 2011 and had a fall of 1% in 2015 . Furthermore 27% citizens had an income fall between $25,000-$49,999 which rises to 30% in 2011 and had a slight fall in 2015 . Also in U.S only 22% nationalist keeps an income between $50,000 -$74,999 which remains equivalent in 20110and 2015.
Only 14% of households gain $75,000 -$99,999 which fascinatingly decrases in 2011 and a minor rise in 2015. Just 30% of public keeps $10,000 or more which shsrply lessens in 2011 and suddenly escalates to 33% in 2015 .
From my perespective people earn according to their needs and resources. iIndividuals who have more assets make more and who have less make according to their needs.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response attempts to summarize the data but fails to provide a clear overview of the main trends. The inclusion of a personal opinion paragraph at the end is inappropriate for an Academic Task 1 report, which should remain objective and analytical. While some data points are mentioned, the reporting is inconsistent and lacks a cohesive summary of the overall patterns. The description of the data is often inaccurate, such as the claim that 30% of the public earns $10,000 or more, which misinterprets the chart's categories. To improve, focus on identifying the most significant trends and avoid adding subjective commentary.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is disjointed. While some cohesive devices like 'Furthermore' and 'Also' are used, they are often applied mechanically. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between the data description and the final personal opinion paragraph is abrupt and illogical. The structure lacks a clear introduction that effectively summarizes the main features of the chart. Improving the logical flow between sentences and ensuring that each paragraph serves a distinct purpose in the report would significantly enhance the coherence of the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, with several instances of imprecise word choice. For example, the use of 'nationalist' to refer to US citizens is incorrect, and 'public' is used vaguely. There are also spelling errors such as 'inviduals', 'decrases', and 'shsrply'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to convey the data with the necessary precision required for an Academic Task 1 response. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more accurate terminology for describing trends, such as 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', or 'experienced a marginal increase'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., '25% people has', 'citizens had an income fall'), incorrect punctuation, and awkward sentence construction. While there is an attempt to use complex structures, they are often faulty or unclear. The misuse of currency symbols and numbers (e.g., '20110') further detracts from the accuracy of the report. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence structures and proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency and pluralization before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
