Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

The response falls significantly short of the minimum length requirement of 150 words, containing only 55 words and ending abruptly mid-sentence. Due to this severe under-length, the task is only addressed in a minimal way. While the opening sentence attempts an introduction and identifies the main chart topic, the response fails to provide an adequate overview or report the main features and comparisons required by the prompt, as it cuts off right at the beginning of the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The text displays some basic organization, including a clear introductory sentence and an attempt at an overall statement using 'Overall, it is evident that'. However, because the text stops abruptly after just a few sentences, there is no true progression or developed body paragraph structure. Cohesive devices are minimal, and referencing cannot be fully established due to the incomplete nature of the response.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is minimally adequate for the task, attempting some topic-specific terms such as 'annual income' and 'categories'. However, there are several noticeable spelling and typographical errors, including 'illustarates', 'housholds', 'flucated', 'throught', and 'chnges'. These errors, combined with the extremely limited vocabulary output resulting from the truncated length, restrict the lexical score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The writer attempts a mix of simple sentence structures and basic introductory clauses, but the grammatical range is severely restricted due to the incomplete text. There are minor slip-ups in phrasing, such as omitting necessary prepositions ('across US'), but the few complete sentences generated are mostly comprehensible, though the overall structure remains undeveloped.
