Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the chart’s subject and make an attempt at an overview, but the main features are not reported clearly or accurately enough. The statement that 2015 was “higher than others” is too broad: the $100,000-or-more group peaked in 2015, while the $50,000–$74,999 group stayed at about 21 million throughout. Several comparisons are confused, including the claim that the 2011 figures were the same and the unclear reference to “less was 500000$.” You do mention the highest and lowest categories, but some are misidentified or difficult to interpret. To improve, give a concise overview of the key trends, then compare the five income groups using accurate category labels and selected figures.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introductory sentence, an overview, and two body paragraphs, so there is an attempt to organise the information. However, the ideas do not progress clearly within those paragraphs. For example, the first body paragraph moves between 2015 and 2011, while phrases such as “Futhermore, which in 2015” and “Finally” do not make the relationships between points clear. Some linking expressions, including “On the other hand” and “Neverthless,” are used without a clear contrast. Group the information by year or by income trend, and make each paragraph focus on a small set of related comparisons. Use linking words only when they accurately show the connection between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant chart vocabulary, including “number of households,” “annual income,” “highest,” and “lowest,” showing an attempt to describe data. However, the range is basic and several word choices or spelling errors make the meaning difficult to follow. “Popularity” is not appropriate for household totals, and “number of living in usa” does not express the intended measure. Income labels are also written inconsistently, such as “500000$” and “25-49$.” Use precise terms such as “households,” “income bracket,” “rose,” “fell,” and “remained stable,” and reproduce the income ranges consistently. Careful spelling and standard forms such as “USA” will also make the report easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

There is an attempt to use longer sentences and clauses, but sentence structures are often incomplete or inaccurately joined, which frequently obscures the intended comparisons. For example, “Futhermore, which in 2015 less was…” has no clear grammatical structure, and “the figure was remains same” combines incompatible verb forms. Subject–verb agreement is also problematic in “The bar charts illustrates,” while articles and prepositions are often missing or misplaced. Most sentences need clearer control of basic clause structure before more complex forms can be used reliably. Practise writing one complete comparison per sentence, checking that each has a subject and verb, and use consistent past-tense forms for the years shown.
