Student answer (Band 6.5)
In the modern educational centers, students have the liberty to choose their subjects of their interests. There is a considerable debate among folks that the history subject should be given more priority since it the most vital subject while the opposition group contradicts this statement by stating that other subjects are more crucial like science and technology. I will enumerate both perspectives along with my personal opinion.
To begin with, history is no doubt holds important values and the previous knowledge of cultural heritage. History is vital for the next generation to have the acknowledgement about how the natives survived from the various centuries. It will not only illuminate them politically but on the moral grounds as well. History is very crucial to preserve the cultural values, principals and cultural. For example, teachers in New Zealand starts to educate the children from the initial days about their native kiwi culture. That is why it is important.
In addition, science and technology is the backbone of any developed and developing nation since without these studies we cannot imagine if we could ever be able to witness high tech technology, artificial intelligence and advanced infrastructure. These subjects holds a great significance in this high tech world. New innovations have been successfully conducted like bullet trains, self driving cars and advanced Ai. Not only technology, but in medical sector, every years new drugs are made in order to tackle various disease and illnesses which people have been suffering from years. For instance, during the COVID era, scientists were successfully able to made the right antidote for the cure. That is why these subjects can not be denied calling important.
To conclude, from my personal views, both opinions are subjective and aspirants have the freedom of choice to select their subject of their interest

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both views regarding the importance of history versus science and technology. However, the development of the argument is somewhat uneven. While the points about history and science are relevant, the conclusion is abrupt and fails to clearly state your own opinion as requested by the prompt. You mention that 'aspirants have the freedom of choice,' but this does not explicitly answer which side you find more compelling or why. To reach a higher band, ensure your position is clearly stated in the introduction and consistently maintained and supported throughout the essay, with a more comprehensive concluding summary.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'In addition,' and 'For instance' are used to guide the reader. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. The transition between the body paragraphs and the conclusion is weak, as the final paragraph feels incomplete and lacks a strong summary statement. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph concludes with a sentence that reinforces your overall argument would enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'cultural heritage,' 'artificial intelligence,' and 'infrastructure.' However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and minor errors, such as 'acknowledgement about' instead of 'knowledge of,' and 'principals' instead of 'principles.' Additionally, phrases like 'folks' are too informal for an academic essay. To improve, focus on using more precise academic collocations and ensure that word forms are used correctly in context. Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary will help you achieve a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'history is no doubt holds,' 'subjects holds') and verb tense/form (e.g., 'teachers... starts to educate,' 'scientists were successfully able to made'). These errors are noticeable but do not consistently impede communication. To improve, pay closer attention to verb endings and ensure that auxiliary verbs are followed by the correct verb form. Increasing the variety of complex sentence structures while maintaining accuracy will help elevate your score.
