Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both views regarding the importance of History versus Science and Technology, but the development of these ideas is limited. The arguments are somewhat superficial, and the essay fails to reach the minimum word count of 250 words, which significantly impacts the depth of the discussion. While a personal opinion is stated, it is not well-integrated into the overall argument. The conclusion shifts focus to government funding for poor students, which is not directly relevant to the prompt's core question about the relative importance of school subjects. To improve, you should expand on your reasoning with more specific examples and ensure the essay meets the required length.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the structure is disjointed. The introduction is fragmented, and the transition between ideas is often abrupt or unclear. Cohesive devices are used in a very mechanical and sometimes incorrect way, such as the repetitive use of 'with that' and 'secondly'. The logical progression of ideas is difficult to follow because the sentences do not flow naturally into one another. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that relates directly to the prompt.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express complex ideas. There are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'pharahgraph', 'dout', 'tecnology', and 'releted'. Some phrases are awkward or non-standard, such as 'get name and fame' or 'make scientest'. While the meaning is generally understandable, the lack of precision and the high frequency of errors in spelling and word formation hinder the overall quality of the writing. You should focus on learning common academic collocations and proofreading your work for basic spelling mistakes.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The grammatical range is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences with frequent errors in basic syntax, verb tense, and punctuation. Examples include 'There is all subject most important', 'after read history', and 'govenment sould make'. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the errors are pervasive enough to occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. To improve, you need to work on subject-verb agreement, the correct use of articles, and sentence construction. Practicing the use of subordinate clauses and more varied sentence patterns will help you move toward a higher band score.
