In education, different subjects offer different kinds of value. some people say the history is the crucial subject, while other argue that
science and technology matter more today. in my opinion both are equally important and should be given the same emphasis in school.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the essay is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement, which limits the depth of the arguments. While the ideas presented are relevant, they are not fully developed; for instance, the point about 'critical thinking' in history is mentioned but not expanded upon with a concrete example. Because the response is 47 words short, the development of ideas is restricted, preventing it from reaching a higher band. To improve, you must expand your supporting points with more detailed explanations and specific examples to meet the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'firstly', 'additionally', 'conversely', and 'in conclusion' are used to guide the reader through the arguments. However, the flow is occasionally mechanical, and the paragraphing is standard. The progression of ideas is clear, but the limited length makes the overall structure feel somewhat thin. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking phrases and ensuring that each paragraph contains a more robust development of the topic sentence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There are some attempts at topic-specific vocabulary, such as 'diplomacy', 'technological progress', and 'well-rounded education'. However, there are minor errors in word choice and form, such as 'the history' (unnecessary article) and 'socities' (spelling error). The range is sufficient but lacks the sophistication or precision required for higher bands. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensuring accurate word forms, while avoiding basic errors in articles and spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, including missing articles ('the history'), subject-verb agreement issues ('other believe'), and incorrect verb forms ('risk to repeating', 'have saves'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several instances of missing capital letters at the start of sentences. These errors do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, proofread your work specifically for basic grammatical accuracy, such as verb tenses, pluralization, and sentence-level capitalization.
