Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you address both views, the discussion is underdeveloped and lacks a clear, consistent personal opinion throughout the essay. The conclusion is missing entirely, leaving the task incomplete. To improve, ensure you provide a balanced discussion for both sides, followed by a clear, well-supported personal stance in a dedicated conclusion. You must also expand your arguments with more depth and ensure the essay reaches the required length to fully explore the prompt's requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is often disjointed. While you use some cohesive devices like 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand', the transitions between sentences are sometimes mechanical or unclear. The lack of a concluding paragraph further disrupts the logical progression of the argument. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words to connect your ideas more naturally. Ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that your arguments follow a logical sequence that leads to a final summary or conclusion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'human revolution' instead of 'technological advancement' or 'historical evolution'. You also rely on repetitive structures and basic terminology. Some words are used incorrectly, such as 'etcs' (which is non-standard) and 'boilog' (a spelling error). To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and topic-specific vocabulary related to education and societal development. Avoid informal abbreviations and ensure you check your spelling carefully before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The text contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people were uses'), article usage, and sentence structure (e.g., 'There are on going debate'). Many sentences are simple or contain errors in complex structures. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically verb tenses and pluralization. Practice using complex sentences with subordinating conjunctions, but ensure they are grammatically sound. Proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect verb forms will help improve your accuracy significantly.
