Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that History is one of the most essential subject for the students. Whereas others point out the Science and the Technology subjects are more beneficial than History. Although history is a really interesting subject and it should be included in the courses however I believe that according to the modernization period Science and technology is more effective than history.
According to the critics who supports history must be necessary subject in the schools are valid on their stance. For example History will teach us about the old civilizations. How the people in past used to live? What are their sources of occupation? How they bought the goods for surviving? How they construct their homes? There are multiple question surrounds our mind when we think about the history. Moreover learning about the history we will come to know old primitive methods of preservation of food and other goods and useful items for long period of time which will be more essential in increasing the knowledge.
On the other hand the people who think that in the world of automation where technology is showing its improvements in various fields like auto-mobile, robotics, artificial intelligence and other departments are far better subject to pay attention nowadays. For example as the world is growing fast and the science and technology is improving considerably we experiences robots are deployed in some field like in the restaurants and in the hospitals as well where robots are helping doctors in surgery is a great achievement. Scientist steps on to the moon and now aiming towards other planets.
In my opinion keeping science and technology in the schools are quite profitable for the students rather than studying history.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The arguments for history are presented as a list of questions rather than fully developed points, and the discussion on science and technology, while relevant, relies on somewhat simplistic examples. To reach a higher band, you should aim to explain the 'why' and 'how' behind your arguments more deeply. For instance, instead of listing questions about how people lived, explain how historical knowledge fosters critical thinking or cultural identity. The conclusion is present but brief, and the overall position is clear throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the other hand' and 'Moreover' to link sections. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the transition 'Although history is a really interesting subject and it should be included in the courses however I believe'. The use of 'however' after 'although' is redundant. Improving the variety and natural flow of your linking words will help create a more cohesive text.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'automation', 'robotics', and 'artificial intelligence'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'modernization period' instead of 'modern era' and 'profitable' to describe school subjects, where 'beneficial' or 'advantageous' would be more appropriate. There are also minor errors in pluralization and article usage, such as 'the Science and the Technology subjects'. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise academic collocations will improve your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('the critics who supports history must be necessary subject') and sentence fragments or run-on structures ('How the people in past used to live?'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, and there are errors with articles and prepositions. To improve, focus on ensuring that your complex sentences are grammatically sound and pay closer attention to basic subject-verb agreement and article usage.
