In the modern era, it is an ongoing debate that many people think that school should more focuss on history subjects as it is most pivotal; whereas, other people believe that science and technology more crucial instead of history. In this essay, I will discuss both approaches before represeting my personal standpoint.

On the one hand, history is one of the most important subject in elemantory school as through history subjects pupils get become familiar with our tradition. In simple words, many people are not aware about history therefore, the history subjects is better to understand such as our cultural values, history and tradition. To exemplify, many school organise trip to give lesson about history and students gain more knowledge about it.

On the other hand, science and technology is more vital as it teach us a lot of thinks regarding our body, new invention, technological experiments and many more. Hence, students are foster their interest in technological experiment and one of the Japanese student make hydrualick car which is the perfect example of importance of science and technology subjects.

After having discussed both persepectives, despite technological invention, history subjects is more important to preserve our cultural identity. I believe that identity is represent the countries however, the youth have been adopting western culture as a result our traditional values have declined. While, many people are encouraging others to follow our tradition and spread our history on social media. For instance, there are many follower of premanand maharaj who give lesson of our history as well as many teenagers get inspiration from their podcasts.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument for history relies on general statements about 'tradition' without deep exploration, and the example of the 'hydrualick car' is slightly disconnected from the broader importance of science in a curriculum. While the position is consistent, the supporting points lack the depth required for a higher band score. The essay covers all parts of the task, but the arguments could be more thoroughly extended with more specific reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' are used to signal the structure. However, there is some mechanical use of these devices, and the flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors. Referencing is generally clear, but the progression of ideas within paragraphs could be smoother. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the overall structure is easy to follow, meeting the requirements for a band 6.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several spelling errors (e.g., 'focuss', 'represeting', 'elemantary', 'hydrualick') and some awkward collocations (e.g., 'get become familiar', 'foster their interest'). While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'cultural identity' and 'technological invention', the range is limited. The errors in spelling and word choice are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not prevent the message from being understood.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'history subjects is', 'science and technology is'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'are teach us'), and punctuation errors. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar structures limits the score. To improve, the student should focus on ensuring subject-verb agreement and refining the use of articles and prepositions.
