Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. The ideas are relevant, such as the role of technology in career advancement and the importance of history for identity and learning from the past. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the discussion on how history helps students learn from mistakes is a bit repetitive and lacks specific, concrete examples beyond a general mention of World War. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your arguments with more detailed explanations or specific real-world examples to fully develop your points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the flow could be smoother. For example, the sentence 'For instance, students can get all the information and data by having an access of computers and internet, moreover, even some professers...' uses a comma splice and could be better structured to improve the logical flow between ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task, but there are several spelling errors that detract from the quality of the writing, such as 'SCINTIFIC', 'DEVELOPEMENT', 'ESSINCIAL', 'PROFESSERS', 'SCENE' (instead of sense), 'FAUGHT', and 'BENIFICIAL'. While the meaning remains clear, these frequent errors indicate a lack of control over spelling. To improve, focus on proofreading your work for common spelling mistakes and try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary to replace general terms like 'get' or 'help'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('technology have improved', 'this subjects can help'), incorrect preposition usage ('having an access of'), and awkward phrasing ('should given more importance'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your argument, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency. You should focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that passive voice constructions are formed correctly.
