Firstly, History gives us the idea and the knowledge related to past events which are really important to be noted. By giving fundamental knowledge of history in schools is a very good technique to make them familiar with the old ages concept. So, the students can know their roots. On the other hand, In today's modern world we need more knowledge about science and technology. As, this modern era, everything is automated and technology supported.

Secondly, If we have good knowledge of science then only we are able to work in betterment of our future and our next generations. For, creating new systems and for doing inventions Science knowledge is really important. History has its own weightage in our life but Science is more important. For example, if we want to know about latest trends and to cure any disease we need help of technology and history in that scenario does not have any existence. Also, science is doing latest inventions in curing deadly diseases which was really impossible if we do not have basic knowledge of technology. Technology makes our life better and meaningful in all aspects.

To conclude, all of the subjects are important in school life. As, school is foundation of our future. But, dealing with modern problems science and technology plays important role instead of History.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that History helps us know our roots and Science aids in curing diseases, these points are not fully extended with specific, concrete examples. The argument remains quite general. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed explanations or specific historical/scientific examples to support your claims. The position is consistent throughout, but the depth of analysis is insufficient for a higher score, as some arguments are repetitive and lack nuance.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'To conclude' to signal the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as starting sentences with 'As,' or 'So,' which disrupts the flow. Referencing is generally clear, but the connection between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used correctly within the sentence structure would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks sophistication. You rely on common words like 'important', 'good', and 'better'. There are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'involve to students' instead of 'engage students' and 'work in betterment of our future'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of less common lexical items and occasional errors in word formation prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and collocations that are appropriate for a formal essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'Some pupil say' (subject-verb agreement), 'more importance is need to give' (passive voice error), and 'which was really impossible if we do not have' (tense inconsistency). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage after introductory phrases. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the clarity of your writing. You should focus on subject-verb agreement, tense consistency, and correct sentence construction.
