Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is widely argued that majority of people says the history is a significant subject in school. Wherease certain people believe that the science and technology subject are more important than history. in my opinion, both is beneficial for student in the current situation. but technology is useful subject compared to history in school.

Overall, the technology is most crucial subject in school and the future is all of the skill people. Thee history is also important but the next duration iis full oof tchnology .

Turning to details, the technology is important subject in school because the upcoming time most people is planing to learn technical work Its a large of advantages in organisation and own life for instance , i was 17 year in 2017 i started my 2 year diploma in medical lab technician and the final semester i also started my experience with study and after completed my study i learn my lab skills and after 8 and 9 year later nowaday i started my own lab all learn my advance technoology from 2017 to 2026. And today in my lab 6 employ work with me in my lab and must trustable servant . So thats is importants of technology and skills. So the history is not siignificant as compared to technology . I sugget for people to focus n technology skills as compared to history . and the history subject is also important to in school and its not mean that the history subject is remove from school.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you attempt to support your opinion with a personal example regarding your medical lab, the narrative is somewhat disjointed and does not fully explain why technology is superior to history in an academic context. The argument remains superficial, and the conclusion is repetitive. To improve, ensure that your supporting points are more analytical and directly linked to the educational value of the subjects rather than just personal career success.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is frequently interrupted by poor sentence structure and a lack of logical transitions. Cohesive devices are either missing or used incorrectly (e.g., 'Turning to details', 'So thats is'). The progression of ideas is often unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow your argument. Paragraphing is present but does not effectively group related ideas. To reach a higher band, focus on using linking words like 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast' to connect your sentences and paragraphs more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, with frequent errors in word choice and spelling (e.g., 'Wherease', 'tchnology', 'siignificant', 'sugget'). You rely on basic vocabulary, and there is little evidence of an attempt to use less common or academic collocations. The errors in spelling and word formation are frequent and occasionally make it difficult for the reader to grasp the intended meaning. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic terms and expanding your range of synonyms to avoid repeating words like 'important' and 'subject'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement ('majority of people says', 'both is beneficial'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, which hinders clarity. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the ones attempted are often inaccurate. Punctuation is also inconsistent throughout the text. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subjects and verbs agree, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb tenses.
