On the one hands, studying history help students understand their national heritage and their community's journey. Firstly, the children learn the historical culture and lifestyle . Student know about why certain laws, boarders, and global alliances exist today. secondly, history teaches us important life lesson. Like, looking at the mistake such as war, fight or economic failure. The new generation can teach how to avoid them in future. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed, particularly the arguments regarding the job market and human progress in the second body paragraph. However, some points, such as the benefits of history, are slightly repetitive and could be more deeply explored with more specific examples. The position is consistent throughout the essay, and the conclusion effectively summarizes the main points while clearly stating the writer's preference. To reach a higher band, ensure that all arguments are supported with more nuanced explanations rather than generalized statements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'secondly', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader through the argument. However, there are some mechanical errors in the use of these devices, such as the awkward phrasing 'On the one hands' and 'On the other hands'. Additionally, some transitions between sentences feel slightly disjointed. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words would enhance the flow of the text significantly. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'national heritage', 'global alliances', and 'modern job market'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'the only history subject crucial' instead of 'history is the only crucial subject' and 'the more vital' instead of 'more vital'. The range is sufficient to communicate, but lacks the sophistication and precision required for higher bands. Focusing on accurate collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing would improve the score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('studying history help students'), missing articles ('looking at the mistake'), and punctuation errors (spacing before periods). The sentence structure is often basic, and the attempts at complex sentences are sometimes marred by these persistent errors. To improve, the writer should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly regarding pluralization, articles, and sentence boundaries, while also practicing more varied complex sentence constructions.
