Student answer (Band 5.5)
People have mixed opinions regarding the significance of certain subjects in order for the student to keep up with the advancements of today's innovative world.
Some argue, that history holds the most biggest share in school subjects. They claim if one knows nothing about his roots and past he can't make a bright future and work for the betterment of his country as he knows nothing about the struggle of his ancestors.History gives an insight to the culture, heritage and moral values of any country.Hence, proving it is a crucial subject.
Others believe, science and technology are the backbone of today's dynamic world. For instance, mobile phone and Internet which has made world a global village . Medicine which is the reason of long health of human . Furthermore, machines have made life more convenient and bring comfort to preplexed and exhausted human .All of these are gift of science and technology.
My standpoint is that, you can't compare the importance of these subjects as both are equally important in development of any country. Therefore, students should pay attention to both of these .
None of the subject should be neglected. But curriculum should be flexible enough to make changes gradually.
To recapitulate , I believe we can teach history and relate it with science so that students are more interested in studying .While giving lecture on ' how the first aeroplane was made' a good teacher can easily relate it with the science as well as the technology behind it.Topic like these are perfect epitome of natural blend of all these subjects.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While the arguments for history (roots and heritage) and science (convenience and health) are relevant, they are presented in a rather simplistic manner. The conclusion attempts to synthesize the two, which is a good approach, but the explanation of how to integrate them remains brief. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your examples with more specific details or deeper analysis of the societal impact of these subjects, rather than relying on general statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices like 'Hence', 'Furthermore', and 'To recapitulate'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the transition between the discussion of science and your personal opinion. Additionally, some sentences feel disconnected, and the paragraphing could be improved by ensuring each paragraph has a more robust topic sentence to guide the reader through your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You use some basic errors in collocation and word choice, such as 'most biggest share' (a double superlative) and 'long health of human'. Phrases like 'preplexed and exhausted human' are slightly unnatural in this context. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'heritage' and 'innovative', the overall lexical range is somewhat restricted, and there is a reliance on simple, repetitive phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include missing articles ('Topic like these', 'While giving lecture'), subject-verb agreement issues ('None of the subject should be neglected'), and punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after periods. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic article usage and ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed with grammatical accuracy.
