IELTS Writing Task 2 question

Some people say History is one of the most important school subjects. Other people think that in today’s world subjects like Science and technology are more important than History.

Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant example form your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

In schools various student thinks history is an important subject in school, but most of them also thinks that in this modren era the study of science and technology is more important than history.

First of all, history means the study of the past, that what event has been ouccured in the past and its significance in the present. it is a world widely debate that technology and science is more important than history, no doubt it is 100% sure, but study of history is important too, because it help the student to understand and have knowledge about the past of technology how it was evloved and who created it, it helps a better understand to the student. for example the study of lights, a student must know that who created light and electricity and when was it invented.

On the other hand, the study of science and technology are the important subjects too, because in this modren era the student have to be aware of the technology that how technology works and how to use it properly. for example in schools technology and sciences are now become the one of the cumpolusary subjects because of the future, the world is equipping new technologies day by day and becoming fast, the students must have knowledege about how these technologies are working and how they can use them in thier daily lifes.

In conclusion, both the subjects are importrant in the term of knowledge, it just depends what kind of student you are and which subject you likes the most

There are numerous spelling errors and misspellings throughout the text, such as 'modren' instead of modern, 'ouccured' instead of occurred, 'world widely' instead of widely, 'evloved' instead of evolved, 'cumpolusary' instead of compulsory, 'knowledege' instead of knowledge, 'thier' instead of their, and 'importrant' instead of important. While these errors do not completely obscure the meaning, they cause noticeable difficulty for the reader.
