Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is argued that some people believe that history is an essential subject while others argue that nowadays Science and technology and similar subjects are crucial to learn. I agree with the second argue because of the era changes and the educational system.
This essay will discuss about the history and technological subjects and how advanced subjects are significiant to learn now to fulfill the system needs.
Firstly, People who emphasize that history is important to learn are focusing to connect new generations with the past. Childerns can learn how their ancestors
spend teir lives. However, in this case they will skip a fundamental subject which needs more focus to survive in the today's world.
In my perspective, learn about scientific and technological developments is intergral part of our life. in the past people don't have access to internet and digital devices, their lives were less complicated and studying about history was fine for that time but due to the time laps digital learning is crucial.
Secondly, our educational system is developing day by day and learning about devices and technological advancements for instance artificial intellegence is necessity. Our young generations are living in a digital world, they learn everyting on mobile phones, their classes set up on onine platforms. Consequently if they don't learn about these necessery subjects, they can't be survive in this modern world. For example, in pakistan almost half off the schools are converting their means of education to digital ones, in govt. institues all of them are teaching through online classes minimum once in a week. And all the iinstitues are replacing subjects to Ai learning courses because it is the worlds need.
In conclusion, History and learning about technological subjects both are important but we need to focus on advance subjects like ai and digital technologies because these are the future of our lives.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the importance of history and the growing necessity of science and technology subjects. The writer also clearly states their own opinion in the introduction and maintains it throughout the essay. Ideas are extended with relevant examples, such as the mention of schools in Pakistan converting to digital education and integrating AI learning courses. However, there are some minor tendencies to over-generalise, and the development could be slightly more sophisticated to reach higher band thresholds. Overall, the prompt is adequately covered and supported with relevant arguments, placing it solidly within the Band 6.0 to 6.5 range.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays a clear overall arrangement with logical paragraphing, separating the introduction, the discussion of the opposing view, the writer's perspective, and the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'However', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion', to guide the reader through the text. However, some referencing is slightly faulty, and the phrasing of cohesive links can feel a bit mechanical at times, such as 'This essay will discuss about the history and technological subjects'. Paragraph progression is generally clear, but smoother transitions between sentences would elevate the coherence further. This aligns well with the Band 6 descriptors.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'intergral part', 'technological advancements', and 'artificial intellegence'. However, there are notable spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'significiant', 'Childerns', 'teir', 'intergral', 'laps' (lapse), 'everyting', 'onine', 'necessery', institues', and 'govt.'. While these errors do not seriously impede communication, their frequency prevents the score from reaching a Band 7. The vocabulary is minimally sufficient to convey the intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over grammar with structures like 'Consequently if they don't learn about these necessery subjects, they can't be survive in this modern world.' Nevertheless, there are frequent grammatical errors and awkward phrasings, such as 'some people believe that history is an essential subject while others argue that nowadays Science and technology and similar subjects are crucial to learn' (missing articles/punctuation), 'learn about scientific and technological developments is intergral part', and 'people don't have access'. Punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after periods and commas, are also present. These errors occasionally cause slight difficulty for the reader.
