Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some individuals say that history in most important school subjects.Other population believe that now a days world subjects like science and technology are more essential than history. Athough, both views have their merits, I believe that academic curriculum mainly science and technology are vital because today's every field is related to them.
On the one hand, many public assume that history is most vital in all the school subjects. This is because in this learners learn about that how a countary is build, how the traditions and how many hundred years ago these things happening. For example, in pakistan adolescants are learning about the history of famous kings and also the history of their country how it is build.
On the other hand, a vide range of individuals are suggest that studying advance in science and technology is very benefical to learn them in their learning institutes. This is mainly because, all the works are happening with the help of science and technology. Such as, in the modern world most of the hospitals are use of equipments in operate which are made with the help of the science and technology.
In addition, i believe that in today's world subjects like science and technology are significant to studiying the academic childrens. This is primiarly because, students have to learning advance skills and knowledge to improve their knowldge in the modern world which they cannot get from the history.
In conclusion, although history is studying in the schools of children ,students have to more interest in science and technology because their advantages are more than history and students gain more advance knowledge from it. I suggest that academic institutes and govenment have to shows more interest in science and technology subjects rather than the history.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—the importance of history and the significance of science and technology—while also presenting a clear personal opinion throughout the essay. The introduction clearly states the writer's position, and the body paragraphs attempt to support these views with relevant examples, such as learning about kings in Pakistan and hospitals using advanced equipment. However, some ideas lack full extension and are slightly repetitive, particularly in the later paragraphs where the arguments regarding science and technology are restated rather than deeply developed. The support provided is somewhat generalised and basic. Nevertheless, the prompt is adequately answered, placing the response solidly within the Band 6 descriptors for Task Achievement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay presents a clear overall arrangement with distinct paragraphing, including an introduction, two body paragraphs discussing each view, a personal opinion paragraph, and a conclusion. Transitional markers such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', 'In addition', and 'In conclusion' are used to structure the text, though they are at times mechanical or somewhat awkward. Cohesion within sentences is occasionally faulty due to referencing issues and missing conjunctions, such as 'learners learn about that how a countary is build' and 'to learn them in their learning institutes'. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas, but the progression of thought within paragraphs can feel disjointed due to grammatical disruptions. This performance aligns with Band 5.5 to 6.0, fitting comfortably at Band 6.0 for overall coherence and paragraphing structure.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting words and phrases like 'academic curriculum', 'traditions', 'beneficial', and 'advanced skills'. However, there are numerous spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'population' instead of 'people', 'Althoug' for 'Although', 'countary', 'adolescants', 'vide range', 'benefical', 'studiying', 'primiarly', and 'govenment'. While these frequent lexical and spelling errors do not entirely impede communication, they restrict the vocabulary score. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, but control is inconsistent, leading to inaccuracies that place this criterion at Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures such as concessive clauses ('Although, both views have their merits...') and relative clauses ('...which are made with the help of the science and technology'). However, there is a high frequency of grammatical errors throughout the essay. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('history in most important school subjects', 'most of the hospitals are use of equipments'), incorrect prepositional usage ('studiying the academic childrens'), and awkward phrasing ('how it is build'). Punctuation and article usage are also frequently erratic. Although the meaning is generally recoverable, the high density of structural errors means that error-free sentences are in the minority, corresponding to a Band 5.0 score.
