IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Some people say History is one of the most important school subjects. Other people think that in today’s world subjects like Science and technology are more important than History.
Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant example form your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is considered by many people that History is most important subject while other think that science and technology are more important.In my point of view, both History, science and technology have equal importance in todays world .
To commence with History, it plays significant role in todays generation. By studying histoy we can know about our ancestor and make them alive in books and comics by studying them. For instance, Many students who study history become researcher and acrcheologist and contribute in finding old and rare object . it helps student to study about them . If any invention is by them than their name is immortal in books of history.while somebody defames it by saying that studying about past is not necessary and let the undiscovered things like it is.
Further explaing, as growing generation science and technology is also ipmortant . By studying science we can discover new thesis and patient . Science helps us to tells us about galaxy ,chemical and so on. Their are lots of discovery made around and technology is growing so people eyes are on it.
science and technology also faces drawbacks like misuse and blackmailing by the use of technology and chemical formulae are also being stolen and sold in black market . After buying they are misusing it .Science creates lost of opportunites and technologies fullfill it .
In conclusion, every subject has it both negative and positive aspect so, Importance of history cannot outweigh the impotance of science and technology and vice versa.Both subject is neccesary at this period of time . People who say history is not important than the inventions done by scientist must not be remembered .
