It is ongoing debate amongst certain individuals that the education of history is a crucial subject in learning institutions . while others argued that in this contemporary era disciplines related to scientific knowledge and engineering occupies more importance than history because of modern demands. this essay will discuss both views.

As historical books contain the stories of great personalities which may prove to be positive for them. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—the importance of history versus science and technology—and provides the student's own opinion in the conclusion, fulfilling the prompt requirements. Ideas are relevant, such as the preservation of culture through history versus the economic and practical demands of modern technical fields. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For example, the arguments regarding historical books are generic, mentioning 'great personalities' and Quaid-e-Azam, but do not fully extend the broader implications. Similarly, the points about science and technology mention artificial intelligence and university courses, but lack deeper exploration. The position is clear throughout, but the reasoning would benefit from more depth and elaboration. This performance aligns best with the Band 6 descriptors.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay is divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs representing the two views, and a conclusion, showing a clear overall arrangement and paragraphing structure. However, there are significant issues with mechanical cohesion, punctuation, and referencing. Many sentences begin with lowercase letters, and missing capitalization affects the flow. Cohesive devices are sometimes used incorrectly or abruptly, such as starting paragraphs with 'Firstly,' and 'Secondly,' without smooth transitions. The conclusion lacks a clear introductory transition phrase and begins with a lowercase letter ('in conclusion'). While the logical progression is generally understandable, the mechanical flaws and awkward referencing limit the score to a Band 5.5.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range to communicate ideas about education and career demands, using terms such as 'contemporary era,' 'traditional culture,' 'artificial intelligence,' and 'innovation.' However, there are numerous lexical and spelling errors that detract from the writing, including 'ongoing' instead of 'an ongoing,' 'frutiful' instead of 'fruitful,' 'completly' instead of 'completely,' 'practicales' instead of 'practices,' and 'focing' instead of 'focusing.' The student attempts less common vocabulary, but these inaccuracies in spelling and word choice cause some noticeable strain for the reader. These features fit solidly within the Band 5.0 descriptor category.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting relative clauses and conditional structures. However, grammatical accuracy is weak throughout the text. There are numerous punctuation and capitalization errors, such as missing capital letters at the beginning of sentences (e.g., 'while others argued', 'this essay will', 'that,s why'). Furthermore, there are structural errors like sentence fragments or run-on tendencies, such as 'By reading this book one may feel confident and try to copy such activities,' and awkward subject-verb agreement or preposition usage, such as 'occupies more importance' and 'take in consideration becasue it is the need.' These frequent errors impede smooth reading and place the grammar at a Band 5.0 level.
