Student answer (Band 4.5)
In the contemporary society, this topic is one of the most important topic discussed around the people. They think that it is important for the school to study history, while other people strongly opose this notion. This eassy aims to critically examine both prespective. From my standpoint, I firmly believe that as today the world is evolving around and student should learn something new as it offer a multitude of significant advantages.
One one hand, the student will do something that is not done till yet. They will surely get the point from the past history but that is already done, there is nothing new for them. When individuals thinks like that they become capable of doing something new. Furthermore, They can achive something in their life this not only enables them to grow but also enhances their life.
For instance, the bulb was discoverd. People at that time learn thinigs from their own. As the bulb was not made at that time the man who discoverd, who made it did his own learning. This example vividly illustrates how subjects like science and technology can exert a positve impact on society. Hence, it is undeniable, that science subjects is important.
On the other hand, If history subject will be taught, individuals will see how much efoort our ansestors has done when there was no internet. They will learn from them. This ficilitates the individuals to have far more advantages. They will be capable of doing certain things.
For example, when we do an equation in chemistry, it already wriiten and it will help the person to complete his or her work.
From my presective, I strongly belive that to become a devoloped country, we have to taught subjects that are important for our future. With the subjects like history, individuals will not learn something by his imagination. Additionally, this will make the future generation more to think from their own brains.
For example, as pakistan comes in developing counties, its not fully developed. what we should do is that, we should teach the child from a very young age about science so that he could build intrest in making the country developed. This stance clearly highlights how much it is important and the individuals can contribute in the significant role for the country. Therefore, it is very much important.
To conclude, although it is undeniable that it have drawbacks, but it has far more advantages in real wolrd. It will be a good start for the betterment of the society. So from my standpoint, i firmly belive that it has more advantages than drawbacks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a position favouring science and technology, and you attempt to discuss both subjects, so the response is connected to the question. However, the discussion is only minimally developed and does not consistently address the two views clearly. The science argument—that students should create something new—is repeated, while the history paragraph gives only a general claim about learning from ancestors. The chemistry-equation example does not clearly support the value of studying history, and the bulb example is too vague to show how scientific education leads to discovery. Your conclusion also refers to “drawbacks” and “advantages,” although the task asks you to compare the importance of subjects. Explain each viewpoint directly and support it with a relevant, specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, separate body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and signposts such as “On one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” help readers recognise the intended structure. However, ideas are not arranged into a clear, sustained line of reasoning. The first body paragraph moves from past achievements to personal growth without explaining the connection, and the chemistry example in the history paragraph interrupts the discussion rather than supporting it. Several linking phrases, including “Furthermore” and “Additionally,” introduce claims that are not clearly connected to the preceding point. Use each paragraph to develop one central argument, then explain how its example supports that argument; also make references such as “it” and “this” more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt some topic-related and formal vocabulary, including “contemporary society,” “multitude of significant advantages,” and “positively impact on society,” showing an effort to discuss the issue beyond very basic language. However, vocabulary is often repetitive or used inaccurately, which can strain understanding. Phrases such as “do something that is not done till yet,” “get the point from the past history,” and “learn something by his imagination” do not express the intended ideas naturally. There are also frequent spelling errors, for example “opose,” “eassy,” “achive,” and “ansestors.” Build a more precise set of terms for the two subjects and check spelling and collocations carefully; this will make your arguments easier to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses beginning with “although” and “so that,” but control is limited and errors occur frequently, sometimes making the intended meaning unclear. Examples include “the student will do something,” where the singular subject does not match the general plural meaning, and “when individuals thinks,” which has incorrect subject–verb agreement. Verb forms are also problematic in “the bulb was discoverd” and “we have to taught subjects.” Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries need attention as well, as in “the most important topic” and “science subjects is important.” Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses while checking agreement and verb forms.
