Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some argue that among all subjects, history is the one of most crucial subject, while others believe that there are more important subjects than history such as Science and technology. While history teaches us some important asspects of past events, I believe that Science and technology subjects are more relevant nowadays.
History as a subject is important because everyone should aware of what happend in the past. Events in the past helps us to understand the mistakes that people did and to avoid same mistakes in the future. It also teaches the tradional norms, cultures and how people used to live. From these teachings, students learn how to cope with similar situations. For example, students read about what led to WW2 and can play their roles on individual-level to avoid such mass destruction. However, I disagree with this because countries are bounded with rules and formed committies to overrule such decision such as United Nations.
Science and technology fields have upgraded in the recent years and learn them as subject is more important than studying history because history is all about the facts and data which is available now on a click. On the contarty, Subjects such as Science and technology occuips with present-day knowledge, about what is happening in today's world. Learning such subjects will help students to be fimiliar with technologies and in the future they will add there experiences in relevant fields. For example, Medical Science is an important field and teaching them will increase the possibilty that sutdents will develop new technologies which will eventually add more value in this field.
In conclusion, although learning about history or past events can help us to be aware of what we should not do in the future, Science and technology subjects require more attention because we want to learn and work on current developments instead of past events.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both perspectives and state a clear opinion: history has value, but science and technology are more relevant today. The paragraphs give relevant reasons, including learning from past events and preparing students for current and future developments. The examples of the Second World War, the United Nations and medical science help make the discussion concrete. However, some points are not fully explained. In particular, the link between studying the Second World War and preventing future conflict is asserted rather than explored, and the United Nations example does not clearly show why history is less important. Develop each example by explaining how it supports the specific view, and make the comparison between the subjects more balanced and precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion that restates your position. Ideas generally progress logically, and linking expressions such as “However,” “On the contrary” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. This meets the lower-band expectations securely, with some evidence of more flexible organisation. At times, though, the connections between claims are not fully clear. For example, the United Nations sentence follows the Second World War example but does not explain how it relates to the value of history. Some transitions also feel formulaic, and “On the contrary” introduces a contrast that could be stated more precisely. Use clearer links between each reason and its example, and vary transitions according to the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “past events,” “traditions,” “current developments” and “relevant fields,” so the main ideas are usually understandable. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “mass destruction” and “individual-level.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “asspects,” “happend,” “contarty,” “occ uips” and “fimiliar” (among others) need careful checking. Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “history is all about the facts and data which is available now on a click.” Aim for accurate collocations and more precise academic phrasing, and proofread spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in “While history teaches us…” and a conditional structure in “If…,” and your meaning is generally clear. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with agreement, articles and sentence construction. For example, “everyone should aware” needs a verb, “Events in the past helps” has a subject–verb agreement error, and “learn them as subject” is missing an article and has an unclear structure. In “students will add there experiences,” the possessive form is needed, while “the possibility that students will develop” would be a more controlled construction. Review agreement, articles and clause structure, then check each sentence for a complete and correctly formed subject–verb pattern.
