Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the question and give a clear preference for science and technology in the conclusion. The history paragraph offers relevant points about culture and learning from the past, while the second paragraph links technology with future employment and everyday life. However, these ideas are mostly asserted rather than explained: the examples “Maharana Pratap and Ancient monuments” and “Computer and mobile” are named but not connected in detail to why these subjects matter. The opening also promises that both views will be discussed without establishing your own position clearly until the end. Develop each reason with a specific explanation or example, and state your opinion in the introduction as well as the conclusion. The response contains 251 words; eight words copied from the task prompt were not counted.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “To sum up” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because several ideas are joined into long, loosely connected sentences, particularly the discussion of AI, jobs, and business. The repeated pattern “Thus, it is clear that…” also makes the organisation feel mechanical, and the conclusion repeats the main claim rather than drawing the discussion together. Use clearer sentence boundaries and connect each example directly to the point it supports. More precise referencing and a wider range of linking expressions would make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “curriculum,” “cultures,” “technology,” and “future,” so the reader can identify the subject of the essay. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “most important” and “science and technology.” There are also frequent spelling and word-choice problems, such as “Nowdays,” “prov eds,” “furthere,” “ancentors,” and “technolocy,” which make the writing less clear and weaken the impression of control. Some combinations are unnatural, for example “a great information” and “proud their shelf.” Build a more accurate set of topic phrases and check spelling and collocations carefully. Using precise alternatives for importance, cultural knowledge, and employment prospects would make your ideas more effective.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “Although” and a reason introduced by “because.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, articles, sentence construction, and punctuation occur throughout. For example, “some people thinks” should be “some people think,” while “pupils learns” should be “pupils learn.” The opening sentence beginning “Although” does not form a complete, well-controlled contrast, and the long sentence about AI and future jobs contains several clauses that are difficult to manage. Capitalisation and spacing around punctuation are also inconsistent. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine related ideas using accurate subordinate clauses and check subject–verb agreement and articles.
