Many individuals believe that history is one of the most crucial school subjects. While, other argue that in the contemporary society, subjects such as science and technology are more significant as compare to the history.

Moreover, history helps us to understand how societies has developed and learn from past mistakes. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both perspectives and give a position, stating, “I partially agree,” then explaining the value of history and the practical importance of science. The examples about a biology student becoming a doctor and a computer science student creating applications are relevant and help illustrate the modern benefits of these subjects. However, your own opinion is not fully clarified: the conclusion says both subjects are pivotal but does not explain how you weigh them or what “partially agree” means. Some points, such as history helping people understand “traditional foods” and “family gatherings,” are less directly explained or developed. Make the comparison more explicit and extend each main reason with a clear explanation of its wider significance.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “On the other hand,” “For example,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and the reader can distinguish the arguments for history from those for science. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some stronger control through paragraphing and a logical sequence. At times, however, connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “By following this” does not clearly refer to the preceding idea, and the sentence about understanding other cultures combines several points without a clear relationship. Use more precise referencing and make each paragraph’s supporting sentences build directly on its main claim.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “contemporary society,” “advancement in technology,” “traditions and cultures,” and “pivotal role.” These choices help communicate both sides of the discussion, and the meaning is generally clear. There are also attempts at more formal or topic-specific language, though some combinations are inaccurate or unnatural: “as compare to the history,” “stay connected with science subjects,” and “engage with the modern society.” Repetition of “important” and “easily” also limits precision. Aim to learn vocabulary in natural collocations and choose words that express the exact relationship you intend—for example, whether science is more relevant to employment, daily life, or future development. This would make the argument more fluent and precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including conditional examples and clauses introduced by “while,” “if,” and “who.” Most ideas remain understandable, and the paragraph structure gives you opportunities to show a wider range. Some grammatical errors nevertheless recur. Examples include “history help us” and “subjects plays,” where subject–verb agreement is incorrect; “how societies has developed,” where the verb does not agree with the plural subject; and “he will able to design,” which is missing “be.” There are also problems with articles and sentence construction, such as “While, other argue.” Review agreement, verb patterns after “will,” and the formation of conditional sentences. Greater accuracy in these areas, alongside varied sentence forms, would strengthen control.
