Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowdays some people believe that Hostory is most important subject for schhol. on the other hand some people believe that for today's generation Science and technology is more important than History. In my opinion Science and technology impactful but we cannot remove history from our school curriculam.

On the first hand, History teaches about culture and growth of civilization. For example, in India history is significant subject in every school, they teach about East India company and britesher's rule. In future students can learn from our past and trade to that country which is our friends and literally care about our culture and religion. As a result, students can take a lesson from past mistakes which happens from freedom fighters and world leaders

On the other hand, in today's growing world Science and technology plays signicicant role in every student's life and which helps for specific countries growth provides employment to the capable students. Moreover, people are more reliable and depended on technology millions are service availbe online because of the technology. For instance, in America at every school Science and technology subject is compulsory as a result American economy world's fastest and rich country which provides millions people job and services.

Conclucion, History tecahes about our past struggle and country building period students needs to learn about pur culture and religion that's why history is important for students. However, techers cannot ignore Science and technology which provides impactful knowledge and more opportunity in future which gives a stable carrier and contribution for building nation related science and technology innovation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both perspectives and state a clear overall view: science and technology have an impact, but history should remain in the curriculum. The examples about India’s colonial past and technology’s role in employment are relevant to the question. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the history paragraph makes broad claims about learning from past mistakes, while the science paragraph asserts that technology makes the American economy successful without explaining the connection or giving a specific example. Your conclusion repeats the main points rather than sharpening the comparison. Develop each side with a clearer explanation and a more precise supporting example, and make your own judgement about how schools should balance these subjects more explicit throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the first hand,” “On the other hand,” and “Conclucion” help readers follow the intended progression, and ideas generally remain grouped by topic. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “In future students can learn from our past and trade to that country” does not clearly connect the lesson from history to the claim about trade. The long final sentence also combines several points without clear relationships. Use linking phrases to show cause, contrast, or example more precisely, and divide complex ideas into sentences so that each paragraph develops a clear line of reasoning.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “culture,” “civilization,” “employment,” “technology,” and “innovation,” and you attempt more specific expressions such as “past mistakes” and “stable career.” However, the range is limited and several spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts difficult to understand: “Hostory,” “signicicant,” “service availbe,” and “country building period” are examples. Some choices are also imprecise, such as “trade to that country which is our friends” and “people are more reliable and depended on technology.” Build accuracy with common academic collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would help you explain the benefits of each subject without relying on broad or unclear phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “which provides impactful knowledge” and a result clause beginning “as a result.” However, complex structures are often not controlled successfully, and errors in agreement, articles, sentence boundaries, and clause construction sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “Science and technology plays” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “millions are service availbe online because of the technology” lacks a clear grammatical structure. The opening also uses sentence fragments and inconsistent capitalisation after full stops. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses only when their relationship is clear. Check agreement and punctuation during revision.
