Student answer (Band 5.0)
In current era, Science and techonology have evolved rapidly and have become the first priority of students as well. Due to the student's priority, most of the parent believes that Science is more important than History. Both subjects are considered important, but students who choose Science and Technology are more sharp and brillinat in their academics. In my opinion, learning about science and technology will make the students sharp.
Most people believe that History is more important that the other subjects. This is because, one has the reference of all the events occured in past. Forexample, those who are interested in History are more knowledgable because of their interest in ancident stories and tales. As a result, they have rich knowledge about the old cultures and the norms.
On the other hand, most of the people suggest to study Science and technology. The reason for this is that Science is the future's emerging field, thus student prefers it to study. Forexample, Artificial Intelligence is one of the field of technology that has evolved rapidly, and would have become the future as well. Because of its scope, people choose Science subject more important than other. Most of the people finds History as boring subject, so they go for the Science.
In my opinion, both subjects have their advantages but History has limited scope. This is the reason, most of people finds history as dry subject and lacks interest in it. Because of the future's demand, most people are choosing technogy as their first priority.
To conclude, Science and Technologies have more perks in the future which makes it the demanding field among the generation as well.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both perspectives and state a preference for Science and technology, so the response addresses the main parts of the prompt. The History paragraph gives relevant reasons—learning about past events, cultures and norms—while the Science paragraph refers to artificial intelligence and future demand. However, these points are mostly asserted rather than explained or supported with a specific example. Your position also shifts: the opening says Science is your choice, but the conclusion mainly repeats that it is in demand, without clearly weighing its value against History. Develop each side with a fuller explanation and make your own judgement consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “On the other hand” and “To conclude” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and several ideas are repeated, particularly that Science is the future and History is boring or has limited scope. “In my opinion” appears in both the opening and a later paragraph, but the relationship between these statements is not developed. Some linking phrases, including “As a result” and “Because of,” connect claims without showing a clear logical explanation. Organise each paragraph around one main point and explain how its supporting detail leads to that point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “Artificial Intelligence,” “emerging field,” “cultures,” and “norms,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “most people,” “important,” “future,” and “choose.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, such as “techonology,” “brillinat,” “ancident,” and “technogy.” Some combinations are unnatural, for example “more sharp,” “future’s emerging field,” and “History as boring subject.” These errors sometimes make the wording less clear or precise. Build a wider set of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and collocations when revising.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “This is because” and a result clause beginning “As a result.” However, the range remains limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence structure and basic grammatical patterns. For example, “most of the parent believes” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “those who are interested in History are more knowledgable because of their interest” is repetitive and awkwardly constructed. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent in “one of the field” and “as boring subject.” The sentence beginning “Because of its scope” is a fragment. Practise accurate agreement, articles, plural forms and complete sentence construction before adding more complex clauses.
