Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, there is an ongoing debate about whether several individuals believe that teaching history is very beneficial for school lerners.while some individuals argue on this view and believe other subjects like scienc and technology is moew important than history. This essay will discuss both presenting my own perspective. However, I strongly believe that all subjects history, science and tecnology are crucial for learner overall.

One of the primary reasons why history is very beneficial subject for schools learners because of cultural heritage and traditions. If the students don't study history they dont know about their past treditions and culture heritage. For instance if the new gernation donot know about their own culture and tradition.consquently they follow culture and treadition of other countries and they loss our own identity.

On the other hand, other sujects like science and tecnology are also very crucial because they are necessary for the country development and for new inovations that make the life easyer. If the schools don't teach science and tecnology the country economy fall because new gernation don't know about the latest tecnology and they loss many oppunities moreover it can increase the illtratecy level of country.

According to my perspective both subjects are very importat for country development and protectiong their culture and identity.

In conslusion. both view have there own merits. Hoever having taken every thig in account I frimly b

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both sides by linking History with cultural heritage and Science and Technology with development and innovation, and you state that all are important. However, the discussion is only partial: each view is supported by a brief, largely general explanation, with no specific example developed. Your position is also not fully clear at the end because the conclusion is cut off after “I frimly b,” so the reader cannot see your final judgement. The response contains 225 words, below the required 250, which limits the space available to explain and support your ideas. To strengthen the response, complete the conclusion and add a concrete example for each view, explaining how it supports your argument.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and an attempted conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main topics. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “On the other hand” signals a contrast, but the relationship between the claims about technology, the economy, and literacy is not explained. The opening sentence is difficult to follow because several ideas run together, and the final paragraph ends abruptly. Use clear topic sentences, develop each point in a logical sequence, and connect examples explicitly to the claim they support. Check punctuation around linking expressions so the organisation is easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “cultural heritage,” “traditions,” “country development,” and “innovations,” so the reader can identify the subject of each paragraph. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to read, such as “lern ers,” “treditions,” “gernation,” “illtratecy,” and “opportunities” (written as “oppunities”). Some phrases are also unnatural, including “loss our own identity” and “make the life easyer.” Aim to learn accurate forms of key topic words and use natural collocations, such as “lose our cultural identity” and “make life easier.” Vary repeated words such as “important” and “country” with precise alternatives where appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some complex structures, particularly conditional sentences such as “If the schools don’t teach science and technology, the country economy fall.” This shows an effort to express cause and effect, but the structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to interrupt reading. For example, “the country economy fall” needs a possessive form and subject–verb agreement, while “both subjects are very important for country development” is missing an article. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent: the opening runs together, and “In conclusion.” is incorrectly separated from the sentence that follows. Practise accurate conditional patterns, agreement, articles, and complete sentence punctuation before adding more complex structures.
