Student answer (Band 5.0)

In history the students are given the basic knowledge about their forefathers that how they live and how they survive in past and they maximize thier chances of thier survival in that tough environment how they comminicate with each others ,how they get that food to to eat, how they ued to wear the clothes and of which type

In science and technology students are tought about the current inventions or gadgets or strategies that has helped the human beings in improving thier lifstyle students come to about the research ,modern inventions

In my opinion science and technonlgy is most important subject rather than history and i am saying this on my personal experience that i have got during my study age because when i was young i feel so stucked off and boring during my history class because i donot have even 1%intrest in history but i have to study it unfortunately because it has marks that we have to score but i have never toppped or even though i was not in middle in my history subject paper my grades were the in 2nd last .The main problems were to memorize the exact dates and days in proper sequence and memorizing the name of different historic personalities i like the most of students want to learn and search about new and unique thing my mind was always active to learn about the new technology related gadgets. and in science i was always excited that living beings are surving in this world and what is thier basic inside mechanism

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear personal preference for science and technology, and you offer relevant reasons from your experience, such as finding history difficult because of dates and names and being more curious about new technology. You also briefly explain what students learn in each subject. However, the discussion of the two views is uneven: the case for history is mostly a list of topics, while the case for science is also described rather than developed into why it matters in society today. The response would address the task more fully by explaining the value of historical understanding—for example, learning from past events—and the wider benefits of scientific knowledge, then supporting your opinion with a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic sequence: it first describes history, then science and technology, and finally gives your opinion and personal experience. This helps the reader identify the main sections of your answer. However, the ideas do not develop in a clear overall progression, and the response is presented as three long blocks with little internal organisation. Connections between points are often missing; for instance, the shift from your school experience to the general claim that students want to learn new things is abrupt. Use separate, focused paragraphs for each view and your opinion, and connect reasons to their consequences with clear linking phrases. Full stops and sentence boundaries would also make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “inventions,” “research,” “survival,” “environment,” and “historic personalities.” These choices show that you can communicate the general subject matter. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or awkward, such as “stucked off and boring,” “marks that we have to score,” and “basic inside mechanism.” Spelling errors—including “thier,” “comm inicate” (as written, “comminicate”), and “technonlgy”—also make the writing less clear and reduce precision. Build a more accurate set of topic phrases, such as “historical events,” “scientific advances,” and “understand how living organisms function,” and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to express explanations and comparisons, but sentence structures are mostly long, loosely connected clauses, and errors frequently make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “the students are given the basic knowledge about their forefathers that how they live” has problems with clause structure and tense, while “science and technology is most important subject” has agreement and article errors. Verb forms and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “when i was young i feel” and the extended sentence beginning “The main problems were to memorize.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, past-tense forms, and punctuation when editing.
