Student answer (Band 6.0)
All kinds of subjects in academic study play a vital role in the life of people as they increase their knowledge and skills. Each subject has own value which help them to develop their awareness. Some people believe that History is one of the most important school subjects while others say that subjects like Science and technology are more essential than history in modren era. i am going to discuss about both views and give my opinion in upcoming paragraphs.
First of all, i am discussing about History subject. History subject holds paramount sifnificance. It helps to increase the knowledge of past. people learn their past through history subject and it makes them capable so that they keep their culture, ethnic. Moreover, children can learn and improve the mistakes which were made by people of past. For instance, if people know the history of two world war then they definitely consider about peace and calm. Apart from that, they will come to know about cooperations and built strong relationship with different countries. It helps them to understand how past have shaped their modren era.
On the other hand, some people believe that in modern world, subjects of Science and technology are more important than history. Today, technology is increasing more and more. People have created lots of innovations and now we can do everything with the help of AI. We do not need to go one place to another. Even we can complete our studies at home with the help of technology. It saves our time and money. Furthermore, scientist have got many innovations related medicines and treatment. They have found solution and cure of every disease. So they are extemely beneficial for us.
In a nutshell, Both have own features and play a crucial role in different areas. From my perspective, history, science and technology are valuable subjects and we cannnot priortise one over others. School should provide balance education so that they help them to get success in both professions.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear opinion: History helps people understand the past, while Science and technology offer practical benefits, and you conclude that schools should teach all of them. The examples of the world wars and studying from home are relevant. However, some points are asserted rather than explained. For example, the claim that scientists have found a cure for “every disease” is too broad and needs a more accurate, specific example. Your view that the subjects should not be prioritised over one another is clear, but the reasons for this balance could be developed further. Explain more directly how historical understanding and scientific skills serve different needs in society.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “First of all,” “On the other hand,” and “In a nutshell” make the progression easy to follow, and the ideas within each main paragraph generally relate to its topic. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some features of stronger organisation. However, the linking can feel formulaic, and some connections between claims are not fully explained—for instance, the move from learning about the world wars to building relationships between countries. Use clearer references and develop the logical links between examples and the point they support.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “paramount significance,” “innovations,” “treatment,” and “crucial role,” so the response can discuss both education and its benefits. However, control of word choice, collocation, and spelling is uneven. Phrases such as “keep their culture, ethnic,” “increase the knowledge of past,” and “found solution and cure of every disease” are unclear or unnatural, while misspellings such as “modren,” “sifnificance,” and “extemely” are noticeable. These issues sometimes make the reader pause, even though the main meaning remains understandable. Aim for accurate, natural combinations of words rather than choosing more formal-sounding vocabulary that does not fit the sentence.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “while,” “so that,” and “if,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors occur across sentence patterns and sometimes make relationships between ideas less clear. Examples include “Each subject has own value which help them,” “people learn their past,” and “how past have shaped their modren era”; these show problems with articles, agreement, and verb forms. There are also inconsistent capitalisation and punctuation choices, such as lowercase “i” and “people” after full stops. Practise checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
