Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a clear preference for science and technology in the modern age, while also saying that History and these subjects are all important. You give relevant points about AI, inventions and using science to address disease, so the response is connected to the question. However, the discussion of History is not developed: you do not explain why people consider it important or give an example of what it teaches. Your own position is also asserted more than supported, and the China example is unclear. The response is substantially below the required 250 words, which limits how fully you can discuss both views and support your opinion. Develop each side with reasons and specific examples before concluding.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response follows a basic sequence: it introduces the two views, gives your opinion, and then adds reasons and examples. Connectors such as “So,” “because,” and “With the invention” help show some relationships between ideas. However, the writing is presented as one continuous paragraph, and the progression is difficult to follow because several points are joined together without clear development. For example, the move from technology to disease and then to China is abrupt. Some links are repetitive or unclear, and there is no concluding sentence that brings the argument together. Use separate paragraphs for the two views and your opinion, and make each paragraph develop one main point in a logical order.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a small set of relevant topic words, including “History,” “science and technology,” “AI,” “inventions,” “discoveries,” and “diseases.” These make the general subject understandable, and there are attempts to use more specific vocabulary. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or awkward, such as “how faster the world is moving,” “it also increase the deseases,” and “by use of technology.” Spelling errors, including “veiw,” “towasrds,” and “jhave,” are noticeable and reduce clarity. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, describe technology as “advancing rapidly” and say that it “can contribute to the development of new treatments.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a reason introduced by “because” and a sentence beginning “With the invention…”. However, the range of structures is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to read. Examples include “History is important school subject,” “science and technology is most important,” and “it also increase,” where articles or subject–verb agreement are missing or incorrect. Some sentence boundaries and punctuation are also faulty, such as the run-on sequence beginning “My opinion is that…” and the fragment “As we know about AI…”. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses, checking articles, agreement, and punctuation.
