Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many citizens believe that the History is crucial subject. It should has superiority compared to other subjects in school whereas numerous individuals say that in the present modern time subjects like Science and Technology have more importance than History. In my view, Science and Technology have more benefits compared to History in the present time.
Begin with History subject selection, It helps learners to know about the history they donot know before. They were able to know about the previous culture and living style of the emperors and rulers. Furthermore, They will know about the wars fought before. The bravery of their ancestors will support them to learn about leadership and teamwork side by side.
On the other hand, Science and Technology are way more beneficial. They guide students about the knowledge which is useful for them. For example, Science tell about the advancement of medicine. There was the cure of every disease occured in the entire world. It has safe millions of the lives. Moreover, Because of Science the death rate has fall steadily in the modern time. The average age of the human rose. There are better facilities available in the hospital. Same with Technology it has made the life much easier and quicker for the humans. There is no error in the work as advance software are available and they keep detail recording of the work.
In conclusion to this, I would say that in the present modern time when everything is going too fast students should study Science and Technology subjects in their school. It help them to have good jobs in the future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both perspectives and state a clear preference for Science and Technology, especially in the opening and conclusion. The History paragraph gives relevant reasons—learning about past cultures, wars, leadership and teamwork—while the other side links science to medicine and technology to easier work. These points answer the question, but they are not developed equally: the benefits of History are listed rather than explained, and the claim that science has provided a cure for every disease is too broad and inaccurate. The examples about medicine and record-keeping would be more convincing if you explained how they affect students’ future opportunities or society. Develop each main idea with a specific, realistic example and make the comparison between the subjects more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for each viewpoint, and a conclusion that restates your position. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages. However, some connections feel mechanical, and the progression within the Science and Technology paragraph is not always clear: it moves from medicine to life expectancy, hospitals, and software without showing how these examples relate to one another. “Begin with History subject selection” is also an awkward transition into the first argument. Use topic sentences that identify each paragraph’s central point, then group supporting examples logically and use pronouns or linking phrases with clear references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “ancestors,” “leadership,” “advancement of medicine,” and “death rate.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “living style” and “detail recording,” but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural and sometimes make the meaning less precise. For example, “the history they donot know before” and “the cure of every disease” do not express the intended ideas naturally; “safe millions” appears to mean “saved millions.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “occurred” and “advance software,” also affect accuracy. Build a bank of common academic collocations and check spelling and word forms when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “It should has superiority,” “Science tell,” “the death rate has fall,” and “It help them”; these should use correctly formed verbs and subject–verb agreement. Article use is also inconsistent in phrases such as “the History is crucial subject.” Some sentences, particularly “There was the cure of every disease occured in the entire world,” are difficult to follow because clauses are joined incorrectly. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses, checking each sentence for a clear subject, verb, and logical punctuation.
