In this modern era, some individuals believe that history is one of the primary subjects at education insititutes for pupils. While on the other hand there is counter argument that for now science and related to the technology subjects are more essential than history. In this essay, first i will discuss both the perspectives and then deduce my own opinion.
Proponents of the first viewpoint contend that history is one of the most crucial subject, as it assist students to understand the sence of belonging. This also helps to broaden their knowldege about what their ancestors do for living and tackle the complex situations, which also shows them better path for the future life. Moreover, learning history at schools can also helps to preserve the old tradions, customs and culture heritage. Advocates of the second viewpoint maintain that in these days science subject plays a pivotal role for students future prospectives by provides better job opportunities. They also argue that this subject can easily overcome the history subject value, because it is a technical era and most of the things are mainly working around the science field. In addition, learning science subject can also open a door for several higher incomes job such as scientist, doctor and software engineer. For example, students can achieve good marks in science in their school exams may provides a financial stability by working in larger companies.
In my opinion, it is apparent from the above discussion that although history subject important in school because it helps to preserve essential heritages and also assist better understanding for their culture. But, i believe that for this era science subject has more value than history, because it gives a lot of best opportunities for future and plays vital role for society. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and state a clear preference for science, so the response covers the main parts of the question. The history paragraph gives relevant reasons, including cultural preservation and learning from ancestors, while the science paragraph links the subject to employment and income. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the claim that history shows students a “better path for the future” needs a clearer explanation, and the job examples would be stronger with a specific illustration of how scientific study leads to those opportunities. Your conclusion repeats your position but does not weigh the two subjects in much depth. Develop the supporting reasoning more fully and make the comparison more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each viewpoint, and a concluding opinion. This makes the progression easy to follow, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “In addition,” and “In my opinion” help identify the relationships between points. The organisation is generally effective, though some linking is mechanical, particularly the formulaic opening “first i will discuss both the perspectives.” A few connections between ideas are also unclear; for instance, the sentence about ancestors and “tackle the complex situations” does not clearly show how the ideas relate. The final paragraph begins with “although” but then shifts to “But,” making the contrast less smooth. Use clearer references and more natural transitions to strengthen the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “preserve,” “cultural heritage,” “pivotal role,” and “financial stability.” These choices show an effort to express ideas beyond basic vocabulary. However, inaccurate word forms, spelling, and collocations are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear. Examples include “insititutes,” “sence of belonging,” “tradions,” and “higher incomes job”; phrases such as “science subject” and “future prospectives” are also unnatural in context. Some wording is vague, such as “a lot of best opportunities.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the benefits of each subject without relying on broad claims.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “as,” “because,” and “although,” and most of your meaning remains understandable. However, there are some recurring errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “history is one of the most crucial subject” needs a plural noun, while “it assist students” requires subject–verb agreement. In “learning science subject can also open a door,” the article and noun construction need attention, and “students can achieve … may provides” combines incompatible verb forms. The final sentence is also incomplete in punctuation and structure. Practise checking each sentence’s subject and verb, and revise complex sentences to ensure their clauses fit together correctly.
