Student answer (Band 6.0)
According to many people History is a most important subject in the curriculum while others argue that the subjects like Science and Technology are more important than history. History helps student to learn about the past and learn from the past. Science and Technology help to improve the creativity and thinking capacity of the students. Therefore, both of them should include to the school curriculum.
On one hand, students can learn about the past from History. And they can learn how to deal in the stressful situations by studying the situations such as wars, political revolutions, and the cultural events. It gives ideas about how our ancesters solved problems. We can use them for the present as well. As an example, we can avoid the same mistake happen again by studing the past.
On the other hand, with the development of technlogy and rapid revolution, students need to be aware about new technologies. And also, in medical, technological jobs have a high demant in today's society. Without the preffered knowledge of science and technology, students couldn't go forward in their careers. It is important to knowing scientific writing to get high demand jobs in current world. As an example the jobs like softwere engineering has high value in most countries and they recognized as highly paying jobs.
In my opinion, both History and Science need for a succsessful future. But the Science and Technology is more important to adapt to the developing worls. Therefore, in the curriculum, it should give a higher place to Science and Technolgy. Moreover, History also should take part in the curriculum.
In conclusion, some are argue that the history should be the main subject in school curriculum while the others believ that Science and Technology should play the major role in the curriculum. According to my point of view, both of them should include the syllubus, but should give more weight to Science and Technology.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the discussion and give a clear opinion: History is valuable, but Science and Technology should receive greater emphasis. Relevant support includes learning from wars and political revolutions, and the demand for technology-related careers. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the claim that History teaches students to handle stressful situations needs a clearer link to how studying past events develops that ability. The point about scientific writing and high-demand jobs is also unclear and could be supported with a more specific example. The conclusion restates your position effectively, but developing these points more fully would make the response more complete and persuasive. The response contains 310 words, including 10 words copied from the task prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for each viewpoint, your opinion, and a conclusion. The progression from the value of History to the practical importance of Science and Technology is easy to follow, and signposts such as “On one hand” and “On the other hand” help identify the contrast. Cohesion is sometimes mechanical, however, particularly through repeated sentence openings with “And” and repeated references to “both” subjects. Some links between ideas are also abrupt: the move from medical and technological jobs to “scientific writing” is not explained. Use a wider range of linking methods and make the relationship between each example and its main point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “political revolutions,” “cultural events,” “curriculum,” and “developing world,” and the reader can generally understand your meaning. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “preferred knowledge” and “high demand jobs,” but some combinations are unnatural or imprecise. Spelling errors such as “ancesters,” “technlogy,” “demant,” and “softwere” reduce accuracy, while “rapid revolution” does not express the intended idea naturally. Repetition of “important,” “students,” and “Science and Technology” also limits flexibility. Aim for accurate collocations and check spelling carefully; this would make your adequate range more precise and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple sentences and some longer structures, including clauses introduced by “while,” “by,” and “without.” Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in basic patterns and in attempts at more complex sentences. For example, “both of them should include to the school curriculum” needs a passive construction, while “It is important to knowing” uses the wrong verb form. There are also issues with articles, agreement, and sentence construction in “the Science and Technology is more important” and “some are argue.” Review subject–verb agreement, infinitive and gerund patterns, and passive forms. More accurate control of these structures would strengthen the response while preserving its range.
