Student answer (Band 5.5)
There are different opinions about the importance of history subejct at school, while some believe that history is the most crucial subject at school. Others think that there is so many subejct with more imprtance like sciences, maths and technology. From my prespective history is not the most crucial subject.
Admittely, history subject is important because it cultivate puipls about the past which make them able to understand why some wars were established and let them know the personnalities and reasons, for instance so they can know who was the winner and the loser is. In addition, to let students aware of the truth and the faluts of the past and do not do it again.
,due to all of that history has an importance for the student's mind. I think that maths and sciences are more crucial than history.
On the other hand, history is not always right because every country tells a different story then the other one, the country that occupied another countries would never reveal the truth and tell people what they did, for instance the hunger they cause and how many innocents and kids they have killed. Moreover, sciences and maths in general is more benefical than history because it is like sport to the brain for instance it gave him issues and let the brain solve them to train it. Also, technology and other subjects have more importance because it is counted as exacte science based on something that students can see and deal with in the present, so it is more effective and easy to prove than a story wrote by someone who already died. As result, at present it is obivous that other subejct like maths, technology and science are the most crucial.
To sum up, I firmly agree that history subject is not the most important and there s so many subjects with more importance because they are more benefical and simple to prove, although the benifits of history, there so many scientific, techenic and mathemathic subejcts more significant for the society and pepuils.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the discussion and make your own position clear: you acknowledge History’s value, then argue that Science, Mathematics and Technology are more important. The points about learning from past conflicts and developing problem-solving skills are relevant, and the examples of conflicting national accounts show an attempt to explain your view. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, saying that History is “not always right” because countries tell different stories needs a clearer distinction between biased accounts and the value of studying historical evidence. The claim that scientific subjects are “more beneficial” could also be supported with a specific example of their practical contribution. Developing these points more evenly would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, discussion of History, a contrasting paragraph, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the other hand,” “Moreover,” and “To sum up” help signal the direction of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several points are joined together without clear relationships. The second body paragraph moves from historical bias to brain training, then to technology, with limited explanation of how each point connects. Some linking is also mechanical, and the opening “Admittedly” does not clearly introduce the paragraph’s main purpose. Organise each body paragraph around one central claim, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point; this would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “personalities,” “occupied,” “innocents,” and “scientific,” and you attempt to express ideas beyond basic statements. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response less clear, such as “subejct,” “imprtance,” “faluts,” and “obivous.” Some combinations are also unnatural: “cultivate pupils about the past” and “gave him issues” do not express your intended meanings clearly. Repeated use of “crucial,” “important,” and “beneficial” also limits precision. Build a bank of accurate topic collocations, such as “develop critical thinking” and “provide practical skills,” and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “which,” and “although,” but control is inconsistent. Agreement and verb forms are problematic in examples such as “history subject is important because it cultivate” and “sciences and maths … is more beneficial.” Sentence construction also breaks down in “In addition, to let students aware…” and “although the benefits of history, there so many…,” where the intended relationships are not expressed as complete, accurate clauses. Punctuation contributes to this, particularly the comma and full stop at the start of a sentence (“ ,due to all of that…”). Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, and clause connections when editing.
