Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both perspectives and give relevant examples: history is linked to learning from past societies, while science and technology are connected to healthcare advances. However, your own position is not clearly established. The introduction presents the two views without saying which you support, and the conclusion mainly praises science and technology before adding a point about preserving historical buildings. This leaves the reader unsure how you weigh the subjects. Some ideas also need fuller explanation: for example, the point about Americans preserving stories does not clearly show how studying history benefits students, and the healthcare example could explain why these subjects should take priority in education. State your view directly and support each main point with a clearer explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the broad discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and linking phrases can feel mechanical or inaccurate. For example, “So that everyone get general knowledge” does not connect smoothly to the preceding sentence, while “Simultaneously” introduces a point that is not fully developed. The conclusion also shifts from healthcare and communication to historical buildings without explaining the relationship. Use topic sentences that identify each paragraph’s main claim, then connect examples explicitly to that claim. Clearer referencing and fewer formulaic transitions would make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “societies,” “rapid developments,” “healthcare system,” and “treatment of diseases,” so the subject matter is generally understandable. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “important,” “life,” and “science and technology,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate. Phrases such as “a live experience,” “shed a light on the decision of life,” and “preserved history” do not express your intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors, including “devlopements,” “comapred,” and “comunication,” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise vocabulary for historical learning and technological progress, and check spelling and collocations during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, but control is inconsistent, and errors frequently affect clarity. Subject–verb agreement is a recurring problem: “history subjects is,” “other argue,” and “everyone get” should use matching forms. Articles and plurals are also often missing or incorrect, as in “it is source” and “one of most convenient and easy way.” Some sentence structures are incomplete or awkward, including “So that everyone get general knowledge,” while the final sentence beginning “Simultaneously, by preserving…” lacks a clear grammatical connection. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, articles, and punctuation. More accurate control of these basics will make your ideas easier to understand.
