Student answer (Band 5.5)
This is the on going debate, some individuals said that the history was the most crucial subject at schools other argued that the science and technology are most necessary than the history. In my opinion both are important in their own perspective.
On the one hand, the people who though that the history is important i think this subject is important to know the their culture and tradition. History knowledge is important because that way the pupils learn their religion and linked history and then they know about tradition and culture clearly through the history subject.
On the other hand, the individuals said that the science and tech related subject is more crucial rather then history i think is modern era the science plays a important role that's why students learn them by heart for developing the progress in their country. Moreover, the science and technology gave the right path of delevoping its important to learn.
Overall, both are important in their own because through the history you should learn the tradition and culture and through the science you should learn about the emerging science and through technology you should learn the tech and new developing science. Through science people gained the a lots of benefits like in medical, technology, and in living.
Finaly, science and technology is very important for learning new things in every field. In my opinion science and tech related field is not going to replaced by history at schools and institutes because its gave the birth of new things that are needed in life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the discussion and give a position: you say both subjects matter, while concluding that science and technology are especially important for learning new things. The points about history preserving culture and tradition, and science supporting progress and medicine, are relevant. However, the discussion remains general and the two views are not developed with clear explanations or a specific example. The opening also says both are important, while the conclusion gives greater emphasis to science, so your position could be stated more consistently. To strengthen the response, explain how studying history benefits students or society, then support the science argument with a concrete example and make your final preference explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs beginning “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a concluding section. These signposts help readers identify the two views. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and ideas are repeated rather than built on—for example, culture and tradition recur in the second paragraph and the “Overall” paragraph. The conclusion is also split across two paragraphs, with “Overall” and “Finaly” both performing a concluding role. Some links, such as “Moreover” and repeated uses of “through,” do not clearly show how the ideas relate. Group the conclusion into one paragraph and use clearer links between each claim and its explanation.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “history,” “culture,” “tradition,” “science,” “technology,” and “medical,” so the main subject is clear. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “important,” “learn,” and “through.” Some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “science and tech related subject,” “learn them by heart,” and “gave the birth of new things.” Spelling errors such as “delevoping” and “Finaly” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise academic collocations and check spelling: for example, describe science as “driving innovation” rather than saying it “gave the birth” of new things. This would make your ideas clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including explanations with “because” and a contrast introduced by “On the other hand.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “the people who though that the history is important i think” combines clauses without a clear grammatical structure, while “science and technology gave the right path” has an unclear tense and construction. There are also errors in “a important role” and “science and technology is.” Practise building one complete main clause at a time, then add a correctly formed reason or example. Check subject–verb agreement and articles when editing.
