Student answer (Band 5.0)

Yes definetly I agree with both statements its because i think they both play very essential role in human life in two different ways like , first is " importance of history in human well being " and " modern developments in scince ".

Here are the reasons why people consider history is most important in school life for children than scince and technology are that it's very important for any country to remember their ancestors , remeber where they comes from and how much sacrifices they formed that perticular country where they live on. It is very easy to teach childrens in schools then after they becomes adults or went to colleges or universities it is because according to the last research which predict about in what age is best to memorize , so the result showed that 10 to 15 years old childs memory are stronger to accept any information which stored in their brain for long lasting or till their death so the reason behind of "tecach history subject in schools" is this.

On the other hand , history is also most important in contries development like if they teach thier students from their youger ages they can learn more things and able to build new theories and they can able to become researcher in various things. And they can get more experiences by starting practicles and experiments in schools. They can built an ability of acceptance for any kind of challenges.

In my openion, it's best for a country to add both subjects in their early education system because it is very helpful for that country if officials allow to carry both subjects from school life to high schools. They need to develop a new system by which they can promote both subjects because by this they can make interest among students in science and history.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear general view that both subjects matter, and you include relevant points about remembering a country’s past and developing scientific skills. However, the discussion does not fully address both sides of the question: the paragraph beginning “On the other hand” continues to argue for history, rather than explaining why science and technology may be more important today. The claim about children’s memory is also difficult to assess because it refers vaguely to “the last research” without identifying or explaining it. To strengthen the response, present a distinct argument for each view, support each with a specific example, and make your own position explicit and consistent throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has separate paragraphs and uses signposts such as “On the other hand” and “In my opinion,” so the reader can identify a basic structure. However, the progression is not consistently logical: the second body paragraph is introduced as a contrast but repeats the case for history, and the discussion of science appears within the first paragraph without being developed as the opposing view. Several ideas are joined in long, crowded sentences, while repeated phrases such as “they can” make the argument feel repetitive. Organise the essay into a clear introduction, one paragraph for each viewpoint, and a conclusion. Use linking expressions only when they accurately show the relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “ancestors,” “researcher,” “theories,” and “experiments,” which helps communicate the subject matter. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning less clear. For example, “sacrifices they formed” does not express the intended idea naturally, and “build an ability of acceptance” is unclear. Spelling errors such as “scince,” “remeber,” and “openion” are also noticeable. Aim to use precise, natural phrases for discussing education and national development, and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated general wording with accurate topic-specific expressions would make the argument easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt longer sentences and subordinate clauses, for example, “It is very easy to teach childrens in schools then after they becomes adults,” but these structures are often faulty and can make the meaning difficult to follow. There are frequent problems with subject–verb agreement (“they becomes”), verb forms (“they comes from”), articles and plurals (“a very essential role,” “childs”), and sentence boundaries. The opening also combines several ideas with commas, making it hard to identify the main clause. Build accuracy first with clear simple sentences, then add one controlled complex structure at a time. Check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb, and use full stops to separate complete ideas.
