Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowdays several people belived History is one of the most impoetant school subjects and some other belived that in todays world subject like science and technology are more significant than History. Both subject teach student but in different way History is about their culture and tradition and science and technology taught about their present and future.

From my perspective History is for significant subjects than tecnology and science. However; History can teach students about their past culture and tradition and mostly students like this subject because they like the story about their ansester or their working method. When they saw Historical buildings and miracles and wonders they learn how people suvive many centuries ago .So student are gain more interest in history.

Science and tecnology are also a significant subject in schools. However these subjects put advancement in the students khnowledge various student like these subjects most because they are in interested in experiments and development when they saw a develpment increase day by day and they adopt themselve according to this.Nowdays tecnology are advance end level which a old nature man canot understand.A lot of inventions are happening in these days which attract the students to develop there mind according to this.

In my opinion history is the benefical subjects and more taugh then science and technology.so students donot forget their history.Science and technology also play a vital role and students learn how world develop day by day and researches and invention are happen.

To sum up that both subjects are benefical for students one teach how they grow and another taugh how they survive. But in my opinion History is more important that they donot forget what their ancesstor do and tecnology teach what they can be able to do.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both sides and state a consistent preference for History, so the response addresses the main parts of the question. You give relevant reasons: History can connect students with culture and the past, while Science and Technology relate to experiments, development, and change. However, these points are mostly asserted rather than explained or supported with a specific example. The comparison is also uneven: the benefits of History receive more attention, while the case for Science and Technology is less clearly developed. The conclusion repeats your preference but does not add much reasoning. To strengthen the response, explain how each subject benefits students and include a concrete example, such as a historical lesson informing present-day decisions or a scientific skill used in a career.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate discussion of History and Science and Technology, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the broad direction of your argument. You also use linking expressions such as “From my perspective,” “However,” and “To sum up.” At times, though, these links feel mechanical or do not show the relationship between ideas clearly; for example, “However” introduces points that are not really contrasting with the preceding sentence. Some references are also unclear, as in “they adopt themselve according to this” and “another taugh how they survive.” Use more precise links and make each paragraph progress from a clear main point to explanation and an example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “culture and tradition,” “experiments,” “development,” “inventions,” and “researches,” which helps communicate the subject matter. There are also attempts to express more specific ideas, such as students learning about historical buildings and scientific advances. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors or inaccurate word choices make parts of the response difficult to read, including “impoetant,” “ansester,” “suvive,” and “benefical.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “advancement in the students khnowledge” and “advance end level.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations, for example “advance students’ knowledge” and “rapid technological progress.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses with “because,” “when,” and “which,” so there is some variety in structure. The meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in sentence construction and basic grammar occur often enough to affect clarity. For example, “History is for significant subjects than tecnology and science” has an incorrect comparison structure, while “Science and technology are also a significant subject” has a number-agreement problem. Verb forms and agreement are also inconsistent in “students are gain more interest” and “researches and invention are happen.” Work on subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals, and complete sentence patterns. Aim to make each sentence grammatically complete before adding extra clauses.
