Student answer (Band 5.5)
TALKING ABOUT THE MORE IMPORTANT SUBJECT IN SCHOOL, WHICH ONE SHOULD BE STUDIED? IN MY POINT OF VIEW I THINK EVERY SUBJECT SHOULD BE TEACH IN SCHOOL'S. AS EVERY SUBJECT CARRY IT'S OWN VALUE AND INFORMATION. IT SHOULD NEVER BE THE ONE OR ANY OTHER PARTICULAR SUBJECT, BECAUSE I THINK A STUDENT MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF EVERY SUBJECT. MOST IMPORTANTLY STUDENT OR A PERSON MUST HAVE THE INTEREST IN THE SPECIFIC SUBJECT, THEY ARE ABOUT TO STUDY.
THINKING OF HISTORY, HISTORY IS THE GOOD SUBJECT AND I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE INFORMATION ABOUT HISTORY. IT SHOULD NOT BE LIKE LEARNING THE DATES, YEARS, FACTS AND THE LIFE OF KING. IT SHOULD BE ALWAYS ABOUT LEARNING THE WAY THEY HAVE LIVED IN PAST WITHOUT SO MANY RESOURCES AND MAKING THEIR WAY EVEN IN MOST DIFFICULT SITUATION eg.In War.
NOW COMING TO THE NEXT AND VERY IMPORTANT TOPIC SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, I THINK PEOPLE ARE CORRECT WITH THE STATEMENT *IN TODAY'S WORLD* THEY ARE CORRECT BECAUSE THE MODERN WORLD IS ALL ABOUT THE INVENTION OF SOMETHING NEW AND WITH THE INNOVATION OF SUCH SMART THINGS EVERYONES LIFE IS MUCH EASIER, AND ALSO THE LIFE, JUST DON'T GET EASIER. IN SPITE OF THIS PEOPLE LEARN ABOUT THE INNOVATIONS AND STUDY THEM, WHICH MAKE HUMAN MIND SHARPER AND ADAPTABLE.
AS A RESULT AND THE FINAL CONCLUSION, I WOULD SAY THAT VERDICTING ABOUT A PARTICULAR SUBJECT AND SAYING THAT THIS IS MORE IMPORTANT, IS NOT THE WAY THINGS SHOULD BE DONE. EVERY SUBJECT HAS THEIR OWN VALUE AND ALSO IT DEPENDS ON THE PERSON'S PERSONAL INTEREST TOO. AS A PERSONAL EXAMPLE OF MINE ABOUT MY SIBILNGS, MY ELDER SISTER LOVES ACCOUNTING AND STATISTICS, WHILE MY YOUNGER BROTHER IS SO INTO SCIENCE, AND BOTH OF THEM ARE TOO GOOD IN THIER FIELD AND DOING GREAT, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THEY LOVE THAT THING AND BECAME GOOD AT THAT.
SO IF THEY'VE FORCED TO STUDY SOMETHING ELSE, I DON'T THINK THEY WOULD'VE BEEN DOING THIS GOOD.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides by explaining why History matters and why Science and Technology are valuable in the modern world, then give a clear overall view that no single subject should be considered universally most important. The examples about learning from people’s lives in the past and your siblings’ different interests help make the response relevant. However, the discussion of History is more developed than the comparison between the two subject areas: the Science and Technology paragraph mainly makes broad claims about innovation and sharper minds, without a specific example or direct comparison with History. To strengthen the response, explain more fully how each subject benefits students and make your final position on their relative importance more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate discussion of History and Science and Technology, and a concluding personal example. This makes the main line of thought understandable. Some linking phrases, such as “Now coming to the next” and “As a result and the final conclusion,” are mechanical, while repeated references to “important” and “subject” make progression less smooth. The final paragraph also combines your general conclusion with a lengthy example, so the main position is not as prominent as it could be. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s central point, connect ideas with more precise references, and keep the conclusion focused on synthesising the two views.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “resources,” “innovation,” “adaptable,” and “personal interest,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as describing how people lived in the past. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “the life of king,” “verdicting about a particular subject,” and “the modern world is all about the invention of something new.” Spelling errors such as “sibilngs” and “thier,” along with repeated use of “good,” “important,” and “subject,” limit precision. Build a wider set of accurate academic collocations and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “while,” and “if,” and your main ideas remain broadly understandable. However, errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur in several places. For example, “every subject carry it’s own value” needs subject–verb agreement and a possessive form, while “if they’ve forced to study” is missing the passive auxiliary. The sentence beginning “And also the life, just don’t get easier” is difficult to follow because its structure and punctuation are unclear. Use a mixture of controlled complex sentences and shorter sentences, and proofread specifically for agreement, complete clauses, and punctuation.
