It is widely argued that many people say History is one of the most important school subjects, wheares others believe that nowdays science and technology are more important than histroy. Both perspective have their own merits and are supported by convincing arguments. This essay will discuss both viewpoints before explaining why I believe mathematics subject is more beneficial and practical.

On the one hand, supporter of histroy argue that histroy subject is neccesary for all students. This is because study of histroy is very crucial for every individuals about their own country. Furthermore, people are more aware of their histroy which is an great acid of countrymen. For example, if people learn about the histroy they can improve their knowledge. As the result, they have information about their ancestors. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You introduce both viewpoints and give a personal position, so the response addresses the main parts of the prompt. However, the opinion shifts to mathematics, a subject not included in the two views, and the final paragraph is cut off at “people more like to,” leaving your own argument unsupported. The History paragraph gives a relevant point about learning about one’s country and ancestors, but the Science and technology paragraph relies on broad claims about equations and becoming scientists rather than explaining their wider value. These limited and under-developed explanations, together with the incomplete conclusion, mean the task is only partially addressed. Develop both sides with specific reasons and examples, then clearly relate your opinion to the comparison in the question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each viewpoint, and a paragraph beginning with your opinion. This helps the reader identify the intended discussion. However, progression is weakened because the final paragraph stops mid-sentence, and the shift from History and Science to mathematics is not explained. Linking phrases such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “For example” provide basic connections, but several are repetitive or do not clearly show how one idea follows from another. For instance, “Consequently, they become scientists” does not fully connect the preceding point about complex issues to the result. Build each paragraph around a clear main idea, explain it in sequence, and finish the conclusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “ancestors,” “practical,” “critical,” and “beneficial,” and you attempt to express comparison and cause. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, such as “histroy,” “wheares,” “neccesary,” and “widesspread.” Some combinations are also unnatural: “a great acid of countrymen” appears to mean that historical knowledge is an asset, while “more critical equations” is unclear. Repeated use of “more beneficial” and “subjects” also limits variety. Aim for accurate topic vocabulary and natural collocations, such as “preserve national identity,” “develop scientific skills,” and “solve practical problems,” checking spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if people learn about the history” and contrastive clauses such as “although history and science subjects…”. Some sentence patterns communicate the intended meaning, but errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur regularly. Examples include “Both perspective have,” “study of history is… for every individuals,” and “This viewpoint based on the fact,” where the subject or verb form is incomplete or mismatched. The final sentence fragment, “For example, people more like to,” also prevents the idea from being completed. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and ensuring every sentence has a complete clause; use complex structures only when their grammar is controlled.
