Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You mention both perspectives and state a preference for History, so the response is recognisably connected to the question. However, the discussion is very brief and does not explain why History matters or compare its value with Science and technology in a developed way. For example, “History show the important topics and famous cities and places” gives a general claim but no supporting example, while the reasons for Science and technology are also only briefly stated. Your opinion that History is “used in technology” is difficult to follow and needs clarification. The response contains 149 words, below the required 250; 9 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each view with a clear reason and a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has a basic overall shape: it introduces History, presents the view favouring Science and technology, and then gives your opinion. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these parts, and words such as “But” and “However” signal contrast. However, the progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and the final paragraph repeats earlier claims rather than bringing the discussion to a clear conclusion. Phrases such as “Discuss both view” interrupt the flow instead of linking ideas naturally. Some connections between sentences are also hard to follow, particularly the move from History providing experience to its use in technology. Organise the response into a clear introduction, one developed paragraph for each view, and a concluding opinion, using linking phrases to show how each reason supports your point.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “History,” “Science,” “technology,” “experience,” and “project,” so the reader can identify the general subject of your ideas. There are also attempts to express importance and usefulness. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “very important” and “used in every things.” Spelling errors such as “impotant,” “teconology,” “knowlodge,” and “Scince” make the writing less clear and reduce accuracy. Some combinations are also unnatural, for example “History is best because used in teconology in every things.” Build a small set of accurate topic vocabulary and practise using it in natural combinations, such as explaining how historical knowledge informs present-day decisions or how scientific advances affect daily life.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You mainly use short, simple statements, and some basic sentence patterns communicate a general point, as in “Science is very important in life.” There is an attempt to use contrast and a reason clause, but the range of sentence structures remains narrow and control is inconsistent. Examples include “History show,” where the subject and verb do not agree, and “Every work are used,” where the verb form does not match the subject. Articles and sentence construction are also problematic in “The history is most important why discuss in world history.” These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete sentence patterns first, then add controlled complex sentences using “because,” “although,” or “while.”
