This essay will discuss both the views along with my opinion and the points related to it will be articulated in the forthcoming paragraph.
To commence with, history playa an important role in education because it help students to understand the past events. By studying history individuals can learn about inportant events, famous leaders and ancient civilisation. It also help them to understand how their country has developed over time. Moreover, history and civilization is a root of nation. It keep the foundation to present to make the future bright. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the discussion and give a clear opinion: you explain that history helps students understand past events and national development, while science and technology offer practical skills and career opportunities. The examples of software engineering, medicine and computer skills are relevant. However, the two views are not developed equally: the history paragraph makes broad claims such as “that is the end of nation” without explaining why forgetting history would have this consequence, and the benefits of science and technology are stated more than explored. Your opinion is clear, but the comparison could be more fully reasoned. Develop each main point with a specific explanation or example, and make the relationship between your two views more precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for each view, your opinion, and a conclusion. This makes the discussion easy to follow. You also use signposts such as “To commence with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion.” At times, however, linking feels mechanical, and some connections between sentences are unclear. For example, “Moreover, history and civilization is a root of nation” is followed by “It keep the foundation to present,” where the reference of “It” is not clear. The conclusion also begins “although” but then uses “But,” creating an awkward connection. Use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each sentence by making its relationship to the previous idea explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “ancient civilisation,” “practical knowledge,” “job opportunities,” and “technological development.” There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “the root” and “flourish the civilization,” though the latter is not idiomatic in this context. A number of spelling errors and inaccurate word choices reduce precision, including “valueable,” “inportant,” “independient,” and “glimpsis.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “a continue debate” and “glory and glimpsis of nation.” These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, but they limit the accuracy and flexibility of your vocabulary. Check spelling carefully and learn common academic collocations as complete phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional sentence beginning “If history is nor taught…” and a contrast introduced by “although.” However, errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and verb forms recur. For example, “it has a continue debate” does not form a correct sentence, “history playa an important role” has an incorrect verb form, and “science and technology are more important because they helps students” contains subject–verb disagreement. The final sentence, “although history help students… But science and technology…,” combines a subordinate clause with a separate contrast in an awkward way. These issues sometimes make sentences difficult to process. Practise accurate basic clauses first, then build longer sentences with correctly formed subordinate clauses and consistent subject–verb agreement.
