Student answer (Band 6.0)
Debate on prioritizing Science and technology over History is still a preferential topic among people. While some promotes History as one of a core subject in academic education other believes, Sceince and technology have more significance than history in modern world. In my opinion, both subject is crucial for academic lesson for the students.
Lets talk about History first. History will allow students to learn and know about their ancient culture, origin of language, revolutionary activities of a country in past through how they achieve the present situation. For example- History books include the topic regarding our language martyrs, freedom fighter of 1971, the rise of Mughal emperiors. By reading those topics and taking lessons from teachers, students can know about the root of their country and understand the value of sacrifice which will widen their knowledge and teaches morality.
On the other hand, Science and technology contribute significantly in our daily life. We can not think a single day without science. Therefore, it is mendatory to include science in schools subject. Reference books will contain how modern science is influencing our activities, how the use of software, ai tools and tech industry have made our life easier and advanced. By taking lesson regarding this students will learn about science and many technological aspects which will enhance their skill and encourage to invest their time on research that results in new innovations. By learning science students will be advanced and smart from early ages.
In conclusion, while History allow us to gain knowledge about theoretical past events, Science and technology is more about enhance practical skills and implemenation of innovation. Educational institutions should keep both topic as learning equipments to enlarge the skill and knowledge of students.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both sides of the discussion and give a clear overall view that both subjects are important. The History paragraph explains how studying the past can build cultural understanding and teach lessons about sacrifice, while the Science and technology paragraph links these subjects to practical skills and innovation. These are relevant reasons, and the examples of language martyrs, the 1971 freedom struggle and the Mughal Empire help make the first side more specific. However, the two positions are not developed equally: the benefits of Science and technology are mostly asserted, and the conclusion contrasts the subjects rather than explaining why both deserve importance in the curriculum. Develop each side with a fuller explanation or example and make your own judgement more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each viewpoint, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” make the direction of the discussion easy to follow, and each body paragraph has a recognisable central focus. This gives the essay a coherent progression. Some connections within paragraphs are less smooth, however. In the Science paragraph, several points are added in sequence without showing clearly how learning about software leads to research and innovation. The opening “Lets talk about History first” is also conversational rather than an effective academic transition. Use more precise links between claims and explanations, and vary referencing so that repeated phrases such as “students will learn” do not make the flow feel mechanical.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “ancient culture,” “language martyrs,” “technological aspects,” “research” and “innovations.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and some less common terms show an attempt to be specific. However, several word choices, collocations and spellings are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “preferential topic,” “learning equipments,” “mendatory” and “emperiors.” Phrases such as “advanced and smart” are also broad and imprecise in this context. These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your argument, but they limit precision and naturalness. Check spelling carefully and learn common academic collocations, choosing words that express the intended relationship rather than relying on general terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast clause beginning “While” and a relative clause in “which will widen their knowledge.” The main ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction. For example, “both subject is crucial” needs plural agreement, and “History allow us” should use a verb form agreeing with the singular subject. In “Science and technology is more about enhance practical skills,” the structure after “about” is not grammatical. There are also punctuation and sentence-boundary issues, including the informal opening and the use of “For example-”. Review subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and edit each sentence for complete, correctly punctuated clauses.
