Student answer (Band 5.5)
To commence with, Few individuals opine that history is crucial stream to study at school. while, other masses think that in modern era Science and Technology are more necessary than History. In upcoming paragraphs we will discuss both sides, as far as I am concerned I am in favour of latter notion.
To starting with ,History tells us about our past which help us to learn from it . In other words, we can modify our techniques by knowing our mistakes made by our ansesters.
For example, Survey conducted by 'THE TRIBUNE' among resident of russia in 2014 resite that population which study about history are less likely to make errors .Thus,History have important part in our life so, it should be studied. at school.
However, in these days every thing has some technology included in it. to explicate it, artificial intelligence is taking place of many humans all around the world it is very important to learn about it. For instance, reports published by UK shows that over the decade large number of employees were replaced by companies who had skills to operate new technologies. Hence, it should be studied at school on priority bases.
To conclude, although, people learnt from History makes less error but I think that new technologies are developing day by day and we need more individuals to be capable of operating them . So, Science and technology subject should be thaught more to childrens for their acedamic future at schools.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both perspectives and state a clear preference for science and technology in the introduction and conclusion. The history paragraph gives a relevant reason—learning from past mistakes—and the technology paragraph explains its importance in a changing workplace. However, the ideas remain general and are not developed evenly: the claim about history is supported by a vague survey reference, while the technology example does not explain what skills or school learning would help students. Your position is clear, but the discussion needs more specific explanation and credible, relevant examples. The response also falls five words short of the required minimum, so it does not fully meet the task’s length requirement. Develop each view further and ensure the response reaches at least 250 words.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. This makes the main line of discussion easy to follow. You also use signposting such as “For example,” “However,” and “To conclude.” However, some linking is mechanical or awkward, particularly “To commence with” and “In upcoming paragraphs we will discuss both sides.” Punctuation around transitions is inconsistent, and the opening paragraph combines the roadmap and your opinion in a long sentence. Improve progression by beginning each body paragraph with a direct topic sentence, then explaining and illustrating that point in a clear sequence. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make references between sentences more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “artificial intelligence,” “employees,” “operate new technologies,” and “developing day by day.” These choices help communicate the contrast between historical learning and practical technological skills. However, several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “crucial stream,” “other masses,” “on priority bases,” and “academic future.” Spelling errors, including “ansesters,” “thaught,” and “acedamic,” also reduce accuracy. Some wording is repetitive, especially the repeated use of “important” and “studied.” Aim for more natural collocations and precise academic phrasing, and proofread spelling carefully. A broader, more controlled vocabulary would make your arguments clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and some attempts at complex sentences, for example, “although people learnt from History … but I think that new technologies are developing day by day.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to read. Examples include “history … which help us,” “History have important part,” and “population which study,” where subject–verb agreement is incorrect. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: “while” begins a fragment after the first sentence, and the conclusion’s opening clause is not correctly joined to the main clause. Practise building accurate sentences with subordinate clauses, checking agreement, articles, and punctuation before adding more complexity.
