Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people said that history is one of the most important subjects in schools because those people who passionate about history and they curious about past. Other people think that in todays world subjects like new technology learning and meet advance things are more important than history.
In my opinion both are very important because if we don't know what happened in the history, when and how begin technology and other things, then we don't know about the present and future as well.
Specially those people who really think that history is important subject they are right also but not only history. Because a lot of study needs previous references to extend knowledge about current topics. Furthermore, people excited about new technologies, and technologies rapidly change day by day so people also curious about it, how they use these type of technologies in their daily lives. On the other hand history is also very important to analyze about anything, and study in a very deep way such as before and after, comparisons, previous tools and how they start things, these type of studies are very thrilling for those people who are really curious about ancient study.
some people are using gadgets frequently in their daily lives because they needs in their jobs. No doubt in it that technology are also very important in the era of modern world. The demand of society that people know about the current technology shift and also they need the history information. Because both is very important in every filed of study and work.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both perspectives and give a personal view, stating that “both are very important.” You also offer relevant reasons: history can provide references for current study, while technology changes rapidly and is used in daily work. These points show a response to the task, but the discussion remains general and some ideas are unclear or insufficiently supported. For example, the opening says people value history because they are “curious about past,” without explaining what studying history teaches society. The technology side is mainly about changing devices and their use, rather than why science and technology may be more important today. Develop each view with a specific explanation or example, then make your comparison and opinion more decisive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an identifiable overall shape: it introduces the two views, states your opinion, and then develops points about history and technology. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore” and “On the other hand” help signal relationships between ideas. However, progression is not consistently clear: the second paragraph moves between history, technology, and daily use without a distinct focus, and the final paragraph repeats that both subjects are important rather than drawing the discussion together. Some connections are also difficult to follow, particularly “if we don't know what happened in the history, when and how begin technology.” Organise the body into separate paragraphs for each view, use topic sentences, and ensure each example directly supports the paragraph’s main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “previous references,” “rapidly change,” “daily lives,” and “current technology shift.” These choices communicate the general subject, but the range is limited and several phrases are imprecise or unnatural, which sometimes makes the intended meaning harder to understand. For instance, “meet advance things” does not clearly express learning about scientific advances, while “ancient study” is not a natural way to describe the study of history. There are also repeated uses of “important,” “people,” and “technology.” Build a more precise topic vocabulary and check collocations and word forms. For example, describe historical evidence as a “basis for further research” and refer to “technological developments” rather than “new technology learning.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a conditional structure beginning “if we don't know” and a sentence introduced by “because.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “those people who passionate,” “technology are also very important,” and “they needs in their jobs.” The sentence beginning “Specially those people” is also a fragment, while “when and how begin technology” lacks a clear grammatical structure. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check singular/plural agreement and articles. Shorter, accurate sentences would help make your ideas clearer before you attempt more complex structures.
