Student answer (Band 5.5)
In todays globalished world, the importance of school subjects has become a widely debate issue. While some individuals thinks that history subject has more importance than other subjects, while others believe that Science and technology are more crucial. This essay will discuss both perspectives, before explaining why I think that history is not the most crucial subject and science and technology has more importance.
On one hand, giving history a lot of importance may be benificial and good for childern because history can show them the reasons why some countries are still in war with other countries and which side should they support, for instance the history of Germany where so many german people who doesnt know much about thier history think that Hitler is the best because he killed all other nationalities who havent agree with him however the truth is hitler killed gemran people too. Moreover, giving history importance in schools make young people love thier countries which can leads benificially the state and the government.
On the other hand, giving importance to science and technology over history is more fruitful. Young childern nowadays use a lot technology and science and it assist in real life, they can work with in thier daily life so learning it more than any other subject can make them enhance the quality of life for them and for the state when they grow-up. Furthermore, it make thier brain works for instance by giving somthing to calcul or an interssting pratical thing to do which leads to guinine smat generation.
In my opinion, nowadays school should provide programs where the importance pf subjects like science and technology because it is more benificial and crucial for young prople and even when the grow up then history.
In conclusion, although the benifits of history sujbcet, I strongly maintain that subjects like science and technology provide more benifits to the childern, moving forward knowing this distinction will remain crucial for adressing the issue effectivly in long run.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the discussion and state a clear preference for science and technology in the introduction and conclusion. The history paragraph gives relevant reasons, including learning from past conflicts and developing national attachment; the science paragraph also explains practical usefulness and mental development. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the claim that studying history makes young people love their countries needs a clearer link to the argument, and the Germany example is difficult to follow and does not clearly support the point about which side to support. Your opinion is present, but the final paragraph could explain more directly why these subjects should take priority in schools. Develop each main reason with a precise explanation or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On one hand,” “On the other hand,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the discussion, and the ideas generally progress in a sensible order. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some flexibility in linking ideas. However, several connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening repeats “while,” and the long Germany example combines several claims without making their relationship easy to follow. The opinion paragraph also repeats the preference already stated in the introduction rather than developing it. Use clearer links between claim, explanation, and example, and make references such as “it” unambiguous.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “importance,” “crucial,” “quality of life,” and “practical,” and you attempt less common expressions such as “fruitful” and “distinction.” However, the range is limited and errors in spelling, word form, and collocation are noticeable, sometimes making meaning difficult to interpret. Examples include “globalished,” “widely debate issue,” “make their brain works,” and “guinine smat generation.” Several words are also repeated, particularly “importance,” “beneficial,” and “children.” Aim to learn accurate word partnerships and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help express your ideas without relying on broad claims such as “good” or “more fruitful.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “which,” and “although,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, control is inconsistent, especially in longer sentences. For example, “some individuals thinks” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “history subject has more importance” and “science and technology has more importance” show problems with articles and agreement. In “it make their brain works,” the verb forms are not correctly constructed, and the final sentence beginning “although the benefits…” is incomplete as written. These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret the point. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses once the basic structure is secure.
