Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response attempts to describe the changes, but it fails to clearly distinguish between the 'now' and 'proposed' layouts. The description of the original layout is inaccurate, and the 'proposed' changes are described in a confusing manner. Key features like the gym, pool, and courts are mentioned, but their locations and the nature of the redevelopment are not clearly reported. The overview is vague and does not effectively summarize the main trends or significant changes. To improve, you must clearly separate the current layout from the future plan and use precise language to describe the spatial relationships and additions.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or incorrect, such as 'not only all area but also the many entry gate' and 'on the other hand, new paten are ready'. These phrases do not effectively link ideas or guide the reader through the comparison. Referencing is frequently unclear, making it difficult to follow which part of the sports centre is being discussed. Improving the use of transition signals and ensuring each paragraph has a clear focus would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often inaccurate, which hinders the clarity of the report. There are several instances of incorrect word choice, such as 'paten' (likely meaning 'plans'), 'joint with a charging room' (likely meaning 'changing room'), and 'youngster can easily played'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to describe the features of the sports centre with precision. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning specific terminology related to maps and diagrams, such as 'relocated', 'expanded', 'constructed', and 'adjacent to', while ensuring correct spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('the two maps illustrates'), verb tense usage ('can easily played'), and sentence structure ('on north side upper their was a gym'). The use of articles and prepositions is also frequently incorrect. While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, they are often poorly constructed and contain significant errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence structures, ensuring consistent verb tenses, and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and preposition usage.
