IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

Two maps depict the current and future design of a university sports center.

Overall, it is evident that a lot of changes can be seen in the forecast development where outdoor courts would be demolish and several kinds of activities would be added.

In the current layout, the reception, 25m pool, seating, gym and changing room area would not be changed in the future. In forecast plans, the east site of the outdoor courts may converted into sports hall with two small dance studio side by side. In the mean time, another outdoor courts which is situated in the west site of the locations, it also converted into a leisure pool.

However, in the right site of the reception area, there will be make a cafe and in the opposite site a sports shop may be redeveloped, with two changing room in the both site of the corner and this kind of activities would be redeveloped.
