IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The plans below show the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The two plans illustrate the layout of a university's sports center; firstly, they show the present university sports center, and the second plan indicates the future plan.
Overall, the present university center has two outdoor courts on both sides, east and west. Whereas, in the future, outdoor courts will change in the sports hall and leisure pool.
In the first plan, the university sports center consists of a reception, changing room, gym, seating, and 25-meter pools. On both sides' outdoor courts.
In the second plan, the university sports center is much bigger as compared to the present center. First, the leisure pool, changing room, and sports shop will be built in the place of the western outdoor courts. Whereas, the sports hall, cafe, changing room, and dance room will be constructed on the eastern side.
In short, many changes took place in the University Sports Centre in terms of the leisure pool, cafe, and sports shop. The University Sports Centre looks very fabulous as compared to the past.
